Carb in GSXR 250

I had problem in my bike,Carb has remove and needle holders also removed,but when going to fix saw two holder has holes on four side and another two holders has holes on two side,let me know to which cylinders these two types fix

I have seen this before a few things to do too make sure. First take the air filter out and shine a light use your fingers to move the slides up and down I suspect the springs that go on the slide is not seated in center you can tell from the slide going halfway and hanging up. Next, the boots on the slides only go on 1 way there is a notch on the carbs for them. I would guess this would fix you up if not we can get deeper into it with air-fuel mix screw settings.good luck

yes mate the top yoke needs to be romoved and if the ignition was the original one then the bolts will be security ones which need to be drilled out or simply beak the old barrel of and you should be able to remove the old bolt threads with plires or mole grips hope this helps

SOURCE: How do I remove the main seat on my 2003 gsxr. Is

2 bolts left and right side of seat near the gas tank end of bike. I think they are 5.5 mm. Take those out and lift from front.

13 hp tecumseh riding mower won't start unless gas is poured into carb. removed the bowl from carb has a wire snap holder float and needle and seat works OK and all passageways seem to be clean

remove the bowl again and get the centre jet out and lok very closely use a jewlers eye piece you wll find a passage that is plugged on the side of the jet look around it you ll see some sign of a hole that is not clear through its pretty small use a welders torch cleanng tool with various size rods use very thin one dont make the hole bigger

thought I answered this already,,,??? Classic "brass kit" symptom! >>> You need a "brass kit".. this is the needle jet and the jet needle in the center of the carb. The jet needle is the thin needle that hangs down from the center of the slide... The needle jet is the "hole" that the jet needle slides into...Remove the carb, take the bowl off, remove the main jet, the needle jet holder should be able to be gently tapped out, the needle jet is a short brasspiece,, it comes out through the hole where the slide goes,,, reinstall the NEW needle jet, needle jet holder...(it may have a groove in it for correct location). once its seated, you can reinstall the main jet..NOW >> to install a new jet needle,,, remove the slide from the carb.. remove the spring and seat from the slide that holds the needle jet in place.. NOTE which groove the clip is in on the old needle.... (should be the middle one). re install the new needle, reinstall everything else and your atv WILL run fine for a long time..This is a common problem on ATV's..

If the carb is a factory carb and has not been modified, there is only one adjustment on the carb. This is the throttle stop screw to set the idle speed with. The only other adjustment is the idle mixture adjuster screw but it's covered with an "anti-tamper" plug to keep people from messing with it. It has been set at the factory to meet EPA regulations. You cannot adjust the idle mixture unless you take the carb off the bike and locate the small plug just behind the float bowl. Drill a small hole in the plug. Drill lightly and just enough to punch through the plug or you'll damage the brass mixture screw under the plug. Then put a sheet metal screw into the hole and pull the plug out. Then, you'll see the idle mixture screw that the EPA does not want you to adjust. Once this is done, take the float bowl off and locate the slow speed jet in the carb. It will down in a deep hole beside the main jet holder. Take it out with a screwdriver and see what size it is. It should be a #45. Replace it with a #48 or a #50. While you're at it, take the top off the carb and remove the slide. Take the needle holder out of the slide and remove the needle. Put a 3 mm flat washer that is about 0.020" thick on the needle from the long end. Use a small dab of grease to hold the washer on the needle and reassemble the carb. Be very careful to get the slide diaphragm back into it's slot around the top of the carb. Do not pinch it or you'll have to replace the slide and diaphragm. It ain't cheap. Put your carb back on the engine with a new intake manifold to carb seal. Start the engine and allow it to warm up and then adjust the idle mixture to the highest smoothest idle. I believe the bike will run a lot better and a lot cooler.

When I put a k-cup in and it brews the coffee, it leaves coffe grounds all over the top of the k-cup and in the holder area and I get some in my coffee, it looks like the top needle is making too big of...

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
I would follow the cleaning list below, I an addition you may have a bad batch of k-cups
plus just run some hot water, with out a kcup in the holder.

  1. Remove the K-Cup assembly
    To remove the assembly from the brewer, open the cover by lifting the handle. Grasp the top of the K-Cup Holder with one hand while pushing up on the bottom of the assembly from underneath with the other until it releases. The K-Cup Holder is dishwasher safe.
  2. Clean the Funnel
    The Funnel can be removed from the K-Cup Holder by pulling on it until it snaps off. The Funnel is dishwasher safe. To replace it just snap it back onto the K-Cup Holder.
  3. Clean the exit needle
    The exit needle is located on the inside bottom of the K-Cup Holder. If coffee grounds or cocoa mix gets clogged in the exit needle, it can be cleaned using a paper clip or similar tool. Remove the Funnel from the K-Cup Holder, insert the paper clip into the tube and move it around to loosen the clog and remove any debris. Please note, you cannot poke all the way through the needle as the opening of the needle is located on the side and not the top.
  4. Install the K-Cup assembly into the brewer
    After cleaning, align the K-Cup Holder tabs with the opening placing the two front tabs on the bottom and the single tab on top and snap it into place by pushing down on the top rim.

I have a 2004 honda shadow vt1100 it sat for two years how do I clean the carbs myself fast and simple.

Remove Seat, Gas tank, side covers, and airbox.
Loosen throttle cable adjuster to give free play to cable.
Loosen intake boot clamp and pick up on carbs so you can get then throttle cables off the carb.
Loosen choke cable holder and remove choke cable from carb.
twist the carbs and pull out left side of bike.
turn carbs upside down and remove the bowl screws.
Remove float pin and float and float needle.
remove all the jets, and set them in the carb bowl
turn the air fuel mixture screw in until it stops, counting the turns, remove it and place it in the bowl.
Remove the diaphram, and set aside.
Submerge the bowl with all the jets and screws in it into a carb cleaning solution.
Submerge the carburetor body in the solution.
Let set for minimum 2 hours. Depending on the corrosion it may take 24+ hours.
after soaking, wash all parts with water, and blow everything out with air compressor.
Make sure you can see through every jet and through the little holes in the sides of the jets.
make sure you can blow through every orfice in the carb body.DO NOT stick wires in the jets.
If the jets are still clogged just soak them overnight. Trust me, i've done hundreds.
Reassemble the carb and put it back on the bike.
Your carb will work like brand new.
NOTE: If you are not familiar with any of this but you still want to do it yourself. WRITE everything down and label every hose, vacuum line, throttle cable, choke cable, ONE AT A TIME.
This is very important to be successful. Take notes

How to install a new jet kit with my new pipes

You can change the jets in your Keihen carb without removing the carb. First remove the air cleaner cover, air filter element, and the backing plate. There are four screws holding the float bowl onto your carb, turn the petcock to the off positon (if it has an off positon) and remove the four screws and drop the float bowl down.

You will be able to see them main jet very easily. It's screwed into the main jet holder and extends down to the very bottom of the float bowl when the bowl is on the carb. Simply screw the old jet out and screw the new one in.

The slow jet will not be visible directly. It's up inside a hole just to the rear of the main jet holder. You may need a mirror to find it. Once you've found it, use a narrow bladed screwdriver to remove the old one and install the new one. Replace the fuel bowl, air cleaner assembly. Check for proper operation of the throttle before starting the engine.

Now, if you jet kit contains a different slide needle, you'll have to remove the carb to replace this. Once you get the air filter assembly off the carb, loosen the throttle cables at the throttle grip and disconnect them at the carb. Then disconnect the fuel line and the vacuum line from the carb. Pull the carb out of the intake manifold.

To replace the needle, remove the four screws that hold the top cover on the carb. One screw is longer than the rest, remember where it goes. Carefully remove the cover. There is a large low tension spring under the cover and a rubber diaphragm. You do not have to remove the slide to change the needle but it's a lot easier if you do. Lift the diaphragm out of the groove around the top of the carb. Carefully. lift the slide out of the carb. Down inside the slide, you'll see a plastic needle retainer. Take this out and lift the needle out of the slide. Install the new needle as instructed with your jet kit. Reassemble in reverse order being very careful to insure the diaphragm is properly seated in it's groove around the top of the carb. If not, you will puncture the diaphragm and then have to replace it. It ain't cheap either, Sometimes you have to use just a bit of grease to get the diaphragm to stay in the groove.

While you've got it down this far, you need remove the anti-tamper plug that covers the idle mixture adjustment screw in the event it hasn't been removed previously. Turn the carb upside down and locate a round plug just on the engine side of the float bowl. It is about 1/4" in diameter. Using a small drill bit, carefully drill though this plug. It isn't thick and you just want to drill through the plug, If you put too much pressure on the drill, you will damage the screw beneath it. Just barely drill through the plug. With the plug drilled, insert a small self tapping sheet metal screw. Use a pair of pliers to work the plug out of it's hole. Now, you'll see the idle adjuster screw. Carefully turn it inwards until it seats while counting the turns. Once the adjuster barely seats, turn it back out three complete turns. This is your starting point.

Reinstall the carb with a new carb to manifold seal. Check for the proper throttle operation before starting the engine. Start the engine and allow it to warm up a bit. Adjust the idle mixture screw for smoothest idle and the throttle stop screw so that the engine idle speed is about 1000-1200 RPM.

remover all plastic/ rubber parts
then soak the whole carb body and slow jet in lacquer thinner

the slow speed jet/needle circuit needs to be cleaned with just 1 strand from 18 gauge copper wire going through all passages an holes pilot circuit in pic2989f1c.jpg

2004 honda crf 150 and all of the hoses are off of carb.?

Not positive but on two stroke bikes all but one of your hoses are breather and over flow hoses and are smaller than the fuel line that should come from the front left of the carb and go up to the fuel tank. the rest should come from the carb and have holders attached to the carb feed the line closest to the holder and fit it on the breather hole coming from the carb pertruding outward from the carb. there should be three or four lines and one fuel line.
