Question about 2004 Vento Rebellian

Sputtering around 5500 rpm

I just bought a 2005 Vento Rebellion. The bike has set up for about a year but still runs good up to 5500 rpm, after that it begins to sputter. I drained the old fuel and cleaned out the gas cutoff. I was wondering if the carb might be causing it to still sputter. Also where might I get the gasket in case i have to clean the carb?

You will probably have no need to replace the gasket. Yes, clean the carb and concentrate on the main jet. ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher on hand when working on carburetors.

Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. Remove the idle screw and the air screw on the outside throat of the
carb and spray into the screw holes as well.
Be sure to put these two screws back in the same hole they came out of. IMPORTANT > do not tighten these two adjusters down. Only screw these in until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each adjuster one and one half turns outward. Put the rest of the
carb back together, clean the air filter and install the carb. Let the float bowl fill then start the engine. This process should get you back on the road.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!

Where can I find a repair manual for a 2004 vento Colt twin 250cc

Hi, Jeremy the vast majority of service, parts, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee around $10 and there is a handful of rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer available. Most of the manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. To download your manual please click on the links below. Good luck and have a nice day.

2005 Thunder Base 250cc. What type of spark plug does it use?

Hi, John try an NGK- CR6HSA gapped at 0.7mm or .028" with a dab of Anti-Seize and an applied torque of 20nm or 15 ft lbs. for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. How to set rpm limiter on 2003 HD dina

Not really a good idea on pushrod engines in general. On HD's, depending on the cam, torque peaks around 3300 rpm. HP and torque max out around 5500 RPM and drop off. Leave this sort of thing to an experienced tuner who knows how to run dyno-mometer.

Is this when you are riding? If so check tire balance. If not, make sure your motor mounts are good and tightened to the correct torque

Carbs sputtering and misfireing on Shadow Spirit VT750 2005

An engine never misfires due to these things. It is always because of maladjustment of the timing at the CB points. Check the timing and set it right.

I have a GSXR 750 fuel injected model 1997 I bought for track use only. The problem is that despite fitting a pwer commander the bike will not hold a constant throttle at 7000 rpm its as if there is a rev...

hopefully you don't have a TRE (timing ****** eliminator) on it, if you do take it off, removing it ill make it easier to hold a smooth rpm especially in a turn. Also, the first generation power commander is ****. You can take it off that bike and most likely get the same results on the dyno. Those bikes self adjust whether you put a slip on or full system it and the first generation power commanders were still experimental. I've taken one off of a problematic race bike and personally had better results and faster lap times. I used to road race, now just do track days. I've always owned gixxers and still have 2.

The latter ones are a better bike, thay do have some problems with clutch cables and such. Many parts interchange with after market HD stuff you just have to ck. Ck out web sites such as
