Possibly if too full oil is getting to combustion chamber? Have you pulled a spark plug to see what they look like? You should check owners manual for correct procedure on addin/changing oil. I always recommend the shop manual for usually under $15 at auto/cycle parts stores.

Same thing happen to me, after checking the alternator if that is not it have them check the rectifier. That solved my problem, haven't had a problem in over a year now...
