Xt1200z heat left leg

On heavy traffic, when stopped or running slow, me and my wife feels a strong heat from the left cowling, coming straight from the radiator. I have ideas to solve it, but, someone already solved it before me?

Check for any splits on the rubber intake sleeve.this is what connects the carb to the bike.If this does not rectify the fault then strip down and clean the carb jets especially the idle jet as it may be slightly blocked causeing such symptoms.good luck

My 2006 f150 makes a roaring sound at random times when driving and will not quit until completely stopped then you can feel something disengage.

when the sound starts check the temp gauge and see where it is at
I'm thinking that you have a viscous fan hub and it cuts in when standing at lights or slow traffic or heavy loads at slow speeds
it will keep running until the engine temp comes down or you switch the engine off
or it could be a electrical controlled fan and the noise on shut down is the relay clicking off

Heat while moving, none when I slow down or stop.

Double check your cooling system. Make sure it's topped up and that all the pipes leading from the radiator heat up during normal use, if not, you need a new thermostat.

I have a 1999/2000 volvo v40, a green dashboard light has come on, looks like a clock but the hand is outside, looks to be pointing at the 9 or 10, any idea's, iv'e lost my book!

That's the cruise control. Green symbol means that it's enabled.

There is a double button on the tip of turn-signal switch. Pressing plus or minus freezes current speed and you may apply some relax to your leg. A speed tuning is possible using this button(s). There's also a switch that disables the feature. If you are forced to slow down or stop, you may run the car again and restore previously set speed using "Resume" function on this switch.

Cruise control switches immediately to manual control after touching the brake or clutch pedal.

Cruise control doesn't work at very low speed and is not recommended in streets woth heavy traffic.

2009 Street glide idles poorly, strong gas smell, stalls

The 09 models come with a "parade" mode which causes the rear cyclinder to quit firing when idling in traffic etc to combat over heating. You should be able to kick it on by rolling the throttle grip FORWARD for 5 to 10 seconds. Have you changed the pipes or air filter? If you have and never had the EFI adjusted (either factory download or fuel tuner installed) your bike could be running extra rich causing the over heating and eventual engine destruction. New Harleys run rich from the factory, any changes to the intake/exhaust system without proper fuel injection management will cause overheating. Try getting your bike into parade mode by rolling the throttle forward to the stops for a few seconds, that will cool things down.

My Motorcycle fell over!

Chances are the forks are just a bit out of alignment from the fall. Put the bike on the center stand with the front wheel pointing perfectly straight ahead. Are the handlebars looking like they are turning a bit to the left or right? If so, just go to the front of the bike and straddle the front wheel while facing the rear of the bike. Hold the wheel firmly with your legs and firmly twist the bars back to a straight position. Re-check the alignment and re-adjust as needed. Now go ride and check it out.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!
