Fuel running out of carb overflow pipes

Either the float is set to high, you have trash in the lines, or the more likely scenario is the atmospheric vent line is pinched or plugged.

I have an aprilia rx125 2008 & the oil petrol mixing system has been blocked off and now petrol & oil are mixed in the petrol tank, but the bike starts for 3-5seconds then stops & petrol comes out of

Hi Steve, and the usual suspects are:
1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
2. Loose float bowl screws.
3. Damaged float bowl o-ring.
4. improper fuel level in the float bowl.
5. Worn or dirty inlet valve or seat.
6. Damaged or leaking float assembly.
7. Particle contamination in inlet fitting cavity.

2004 tomas moped sitting for a year started every 3 mo. rode it after ride notice gas leaking now it would start.

Sounds like fuel is overflowing from the carb , hence the fuel will also overflow internaly into the engine causing it to overfuel flooding the engine and soaking the plug in petrol, clean the plug, with the fuel turned off open the throttle wide while you attempt to start the engine, the extra air from the open throttle should be all it takes

There is petrol leaking from the overflow on my zxr 400, should this overflow be connected to anything else via tube ....?

No, the overflow tube should dump the fuel out the bottom of the bike.

Possible solutions (?): 1: Don't over fill the tank. 2: Check for corrosion in the tank overflow tube.

On a kawasaki zephyr 750 set of carbs, where do the two hoses that come from between carbs one and two and three and four go( not the vacuum hoses, or fuel hose. Are these the heater hoses?

They are fuel overflow hoses, and just hang down under the engine. If they are not vacume or fuel lines, then they must be the overflow pipes, one from each carby.

I inherited a 2004 BN125 that now leaks gas when started from tube that is located next to battery overflow tube

If overflow tube is leaking its due to too much fuel in petrol tank or could be a loose fuel pipe make sure its an overflow pipe not a fuel pipe just leaking

Suzuki say not to fill the fuel tank to the top. fill it 3/4 full to allow for heat expansion.

Fuel in airbox

If your particular model has carbs instead of fuel injection, have the shop clean, balance and syncronize the carbs. Done properly, this will fix the problem.

Please rate this solution. Thanks fvg1!
