SOURCE: motorcycle dies after 5min

If it's dying that quick because the battery went dead, it might be a charging problem.

Get a MultiMeter:

http://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-multimeter-98025.html

Make sure the battery is charged, and start the bike.

Put the multimeter leads across the battery terminals (red to +, black to -)
You should be getting 13-14 volts, with the voltage increasing as you rev the motor.

If not, either an alternator or voltage regulator problem.

IF the battery is going flat in that time WITHOUT the motor running, you have a "parasitic" drain somewhere, that is draining the battery when it's off.

Yamaha fzr 400 not running/ oil coming out from pipe

Hi, Jaime_palatt for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. Running problem

It takes electrical power to run the ignition system on your bike. If your alternator is not providing that power it must come from the battery. When the battery is out of power, the bike dies. You have a problem in your bikes electrical system. MOST likely is a faulty battery, but could also be alternator or other piece in the system.
