Pel job 250 track removal procedure

First step is to remove any tension in the track by loosening off any adjuster rollers or springs.
the normal method to remove tracks on a machine is to remove a pin about the middle of a front sprocket in the track and then back the machine along the track until the undone part falls to the ground
jack the machine off the track and work on the sprocket. Replacement is to tie the end of the track back onto the drive sprocket and drive forward until the track is on top of the sprocket. undo the tie and retie it to the front sprocket and continue to slowly drive forward. eventually the ends of the track will be almost together. One end will be on the ground and the other end will be just above it . Use some method of holding the two ends together so that the pin can be reinserted.
If it is a small machine and runner tracks you may be able to undo a pin in the middle at that top and just lay the ends back wards and forwards. fix the sprocket and then pick the ends up and rejoin.

Hi, The track of a JCB JS130 has just come of at one end of itself and I am wondering if it is not to hard to re-track it myself. Any tips?

most tracks are put back on by laying out the track and attaching one end to the drive sprocket and slowly driving along the track until you only have to lift one or two tread plates to get the pin back in. Make sure the adjuster is let well off before hand

Buell blast key wont move

Sometimes the switches get stuck, don't be afraid to shoot some WD40 in them to get the tumblers moving again. best to use some graphite lube in there when you get the key out.

Replace buell blast drive belt

Pull the front pully cover off and remove the rear wheel fender - the belt goes on the front pully first. raise the back of the bike in the air so the rear wheel spins freely. Make sure the transmission is in neutral. start at the bottom and put the belt on the bottom of the pully and spin the wheel clockwise(toward the front of the bike) and allow the belt to feed onto the pully. put the covers back on and ride. I can change a blast belt in about 10 minutes.

Need to find replacement for broken belt/track.

Belts for cleated tracks are no longer available from arctic cat. You will have to find a used belt on EBAY, at a salvage yard, or upgrade to a rubber track. An Arctic dealer can look up pieces needed to upgrade to rubber track from the old accessory parts listing to do the upgrade. You will need to replace your drive sprockets and possibly the drive axle to run a rubber track with out cleats.

The motor for the front seatbelt wont stop. Is there a fuse to stop it?

There is a connector that provides power to the seat belt motor/sensor in the doorpost (passenger side) or behind the LH wall molding (driver side).
Not sure where the stop sensor is, but I think part of the drive track assembly.

I chose to replace the drive track assembly on my driver side when it was sticking / cutting out in cold weather.

Does anyone know where the speed sensor is located on a buell blast

The speed sensor is in the casing just above the front sprocket and senses the transmission shaft speed. Any change of final drive ratio or tire size will throw off readings.

Also because it is magnetic it can pick up shavings from the transmission and stop working. In that case unscrew it and wipe it off. Re-install and go for a ride! if it does not work then it needs to be replaced.
