Back pressure, I'm no mechanic but it seems as tho the engine pressure is not getting vented, I would think pressure release valves or the other...maybe exhaust valves arent timed rite(worn out cam or chain)as the plug fires ots supposed to be vented to exhaust, its not. its being vented to the crankcase(not good)no matter what, your pressure shouldnt pop anything out, its bound to harm other parts soon. so if you cant figure it out yourself you should get a friend or a mech to look at it.

Why does oil come out my vent hose.

First of all fill it to the top. Mileage doesn't matter on motorcycles. They sit for long periods without being run. Seals dry out and crack.

Ford 5.4L 3 valve motor has vacuum in the oil pan and will not run with the fill cap off.

The only vacuum being pulled, is the hose from the valve
cover (PVC) hose ,I believe, to the throttle body area

The reason you have a crankcase vacuum so high on the other
valve cover & oil fill cap, is that air can't get in to replace the air
drawn in behind the throttle body

eg: you have no air coming in,find out why

I think the air in comes from the ducting around the MAF Sensor
area in a 1" plastic or rubber tubing to the cover where your fill cap is

My Lincoln is like that

I have been around 5.4 fords I just haven't googled a picture of yours, you can do that or look over your truck

The vacuum amount or flow rate is controlled by the PCV valve
hoses & system design,so you have no air coming in the other
cover or little, thus high crank case vacuum

That said-- what your doing is NOT a test & in some motors will set
a MIL Lamp & OBD Codes

Once the oil cap if off, you have an open hole for air to rush in & back to the pcv & intake,so leave it on when the motor is running

Opposite your theory

It dies because with the oil cap off, your letting in unmetered air
that goes into the intake, cylinders & out the exhaust & you loose
fuel trim control,as the oxygen sensors & pcm are confused

Today's vehicles work in Milli Seconds & only work within programmed parameters

First take care of the coolant problem. Short term you can fill the radiator & reserve tank with water. Run the car & watch for leaks on coolant hoses, radiator, etc. As long as the car runs ok, don't worry about oil around plugs until you get the car to run cool.

On the softail model Harley Davidson's the oil tank is external and sits up higher than the engine crank case and oil pump. when these bikes sit for an amount of time the oil gravitates from the tank to the crank case. starting may seem sightly harder and seem like the battery is going dead. the bike should be started in knowing that you had oil in it to start with and no giant leak puddle underneath of it. warm up the engine and then drain the oil out of the tank. the reason why your filler cap popped off is because you had probably 2 1/2 to 3 quarts to much engine oil in the bike. so drain the oil from the tank at the drain pug at the bottom of the hose on the high (right side ) of the bike where the swing arm meets the frame (it is a 5/8 socket) put the drain plug back in run the bike for about 5 minutes inspecting with a flashlight continuously that oil is circulating back into the tank. then dran it again and replace with new oil.

What oil line going into the motor is feed and what line is for return 1959 900cc sportster

You need a piece of 3/8" clear hose. Jack the bike up and shift the transmission into fourth gear. Remove the spark plugs. Fill the clear hose with oil and plug it onto one of the fittings on the pump. Now, turn the rear wheel in the direction of normal rotation. Watch the oil in the hose. If the oil moves toward the pump, this is the intake fitting. If bubbles are blown into the oil in the hose, this is the output of the pump.

At the oil tank, the hose coming off the very bottom of the tank is the feed line to the pump. The nipple at the top under the tank filler cap is the return. There may also be a breather nipple on the tank somewhere but I don't think these early models had that.

Is your Sporty an XLH model or an XLCH model?

Trips thermal overload. power source ok. oil ok

Several things to check. Amp draw to be within number on plate, if amp draw not correct check capacitor, should be within 5% of rating on cap.. If amp draw about right and cap reads good suspect faulty breaker. If amp draw high and cap. good check for leak at in-tank check valve. With pressure in tank remove hose at check valve spray soapy water. If check valve good, suspect reed valves leaking. If reeds are leaking the compressor will take longer than normal to fill and the discharge tube/air will get very hot. It is recommended to note the amount of time it takes to fill tank when unit is new and compare this as unit wears. Length of time to fill is an indication of how well unit is working. A combination of leaky valves and leaking fittings as well as leaking checkvalve will cause motor to overheat.

What kind of oil solution do I use in my remington chain pole saw

I recommend bar and chain oil (SAE 30 with additives to make it adhere) available at hardware stores and home centers.
From a Remington OM, page 9 (edited).
FILLING OIL TANK
1. Remove oil cap.
2. Fill oil tank with SAE 30 motor oil if the temperature is between 30 & 75°F

  • Colder use SAE 10 oil.
  • Warmer use SAE 40 oil.
3. Replace oil cap at once. Tighten oil cap firmly for a good seal. This will avoid oil seepage from tank.
4. Wipe off excess oil.

  • It is normal for oil to seep when saw is not in use.
  • Empty oil tank after each use to prevent seepage.
