Yamaha Vino 50cc

Just replace battery now I am having problems with idling. When they are first started they idle great and after that as soon as you hit a stop sign they die?

04 vino starts fine, runs good until warm, then dies, especially up hills, once good and warm will not do over 5mph, new plug, new fuel.

2. Restricted radiator air flow.
3. Faulty thermostat.
4. Coolant pump or fans inoperative.

Why does my 2005 Yamaha Vino Classic 50 Died at stoplight and wont start now.


Hi, Rose and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
2. Failed alternator/generator and or voltage regulator.
3. Loose or corroded battery terminals and or cables especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, look for loose, corroded, or broken connectors inside the cable harness at "BOTH" ends.
4. Failed main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.
5. Failed system and or ignition relay, check for continuity.
6. Failed ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.
7. Failed CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.
8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.
9. Air/fuel mixture screw improperly adjusted.
10. Accelerator pump damaged or not working.
11. Water or dirt in the fuel system, carburetor or filter.
12. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
13. Fuel tank empty.
14. The gas cap is not venting properly or fuel tank venting system blocked.
15. A failed fuel pump, pressure regulator and or fuel injectors.
16. Vacuum line from intake manifold to petcock broken, cracked, or not attached, carburetor vent line plugged.
17. Needle and seat stuck closed in the float bowl.

My yamaha 50cc moped struggles for power on a cold start,what could the problem be

1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Float needle and seat sticking.
5. Float level too low.
6. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
7. Idle adjusting screw set too low.
8. Air/fuel mixture screw set too lean.
9. Idle port, transfer ports, slow air jet clogged.
10. Slow fuel jet clogged.
11. Faulty fuel pump.

What type of coolant mix is needed for an 06' 50cc Vino? It has been sitting and is not starting. The coolant is low. Could that be the problem. The battery is new and I just changed the oil. The...


Hi, Pharismj and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Tip over sensor needs a reset.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
9. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
10. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
11. Check for engine trouble codes.

have the battery draw checked, batteries can register 12 volts but thats idle voltage, when you use it, it creates a draw on the battery,, using amps , if you have a walmart near you they check them for free

2007 yamaha vino 50cc busts up and wont run any faster than about 30mph. It starts very easily and idles well it just wont run on the top end. Thanks

8. Restricted fuel supply tract.
9. Plugged bowl vent.
10. Loose or plugged fuel and air jets or passages.
11. Improper fuel level.
12. Worn or damaged needle or needle jet.

if it stalls clean the carb. if it wont move but the engine revs up and its in gear the clutch is bad

WONT IDLE SMOOTHE


I have alot of trouble in my shop with the 87 fuel. Carb problems is #1 along with sticky valves. Go to a higher octaine!!
