I took it apart to paint the frame and forgot to mark the wires when I unplugged them. After I got it all back together I cant even get the sparkplug to fire. I have tried rearranging them and thought I had it plugged back to where everything goes, I was wrong.
Start again and lay out the wire loom on the frame , follow each wire and offer up each part with wires and mate colour to colour wires , do the same for all other wires etc etc ! should run out of wires , the odd wire mite have a change of colour connection but not lots so if you get 80% correct then you should see where they go after a couple of tries ! make sure youve cleaned all earths on the frame also ! P...

Depending on the version, normally there would be two (2) relays for most Kawasakis that control the headlight(s). Often the hi-lo relays (with white connectors) would be behind the gauges. Again depending on the model, some would not have a headlight on/park/off but only hi-lo as the headlights automatically switch on when the engine is running.

sounds like you have a short inside, unfortunately you will have to strip it down again and re check. please post a follow up on your luck

SOURCE: I removed my turn signal to get fender painted. I
on the side of your bike in the rear. you have two long brackets where the light mount. under the fender to the brackets from your rear light..then under the fender again to the front from your light this is the rear light harness. if you have a problems go to local auto store i get the hanes shop book this will help considerly..

using a meter check your engine to frame ground
your testlight is completing the missing ground wire connection; allowing the spark to jump to ground
