SOURCE: fuel pump?

the fuel pump for your 2000 fuel injected road king is located in the fuel tank. you will have to remove the speedometer housing, by first removing the seat, then remove the one small screw near the seat that holds the speedometer housing in place, also remove the small screw at the front of the speedometer housing and lift the housing off the tank and disconnect the wiring that goes to the back of the speedometer. there is a large oval shaped gold in appearance plate on top of the fuel tank. this plate is what the fuel pump is mounted to.

SOURCE: Rear fuel line at the tank is leaking

The connection is a quick dissconnect, I unpluged the line by pushing up on the bottom of the fitting and pulling down on the retainer . This allowed me to unplug the line. I then removed the fitting that was threaded into the tank and found the rubber "O" ring was bad, I replaced the "O" ring and put the parts back together. ( i sprayed a little WD 40 on the Quick dissconnect and applied a small amount of "O" ring lube to the ring prior to putting everything back together )

SOURCE: How do I change the front and rear brakes on a

Not too hard - Undo the two bolts on the caliper and then seperate the caliper and pull the old ones out. Insert the new ones and put the bolts back in to hold the caliper back together and then install them back on the bike with the two retaining bolts. Use a bit of lock tight (Blue) on the threads. Warning do not let anyone apply pressure on the brakes while you have them off the bike or you will have a mess and/or a problem.

SOURCE: removing gas tank on harley flhtci

remove seat, remove console on top of tank, disconnect wiring from console to tank, disconnect vent line if present, disconnect fuel line on tank, disconnect fuel gauge (up under tank on left side, 3 wires, 4 wire connector, wires are yellow, orange, and black), remove bolt at rear of tank, remove two side bolts up front under tank (coil bracket is there also, carefully cut clamp on cross over hose located up front under tank.
This works better with three hands remove one side of cross over hose, fuel will flow freely so the extra hands are good at "plugging" the hose and the tank. Gently remove tank tilting front of tank as much as you can till you get it clear of the frame, while still tilted at a steep angle put the cross over hose back on.
To make things easier drain all fuel out of tank before reversing the process to reinstall tank. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I need to know where the oil drain plug is on a

The oil pan is on the bottom of the transmission. Look under the transmission and you'll see two drain plugs. The one closest to the front left corner is the engine oil drain. The one closest to the center is the transmission drain.

Good Luck

Harley fuel tank quick disconnect no leakage from tank

No leakage from the tank is good, is there leakage from the quick connect, if so is it with the fuel line connected or disconnected? In any case you will need new o-rings or a new quick connect. A new quick connect would rerquire tank, fuel pump etc disassembly

Rear fuel line at the tank is leaking 1999 Electra Glide

The 1999 FLH series with fuel injection does not have a quick disconnect. You need to replace both fuel lines. Search Ebay for Goodridge fuel lines, they can be purchased for around $150.00. There are multiple articles on the web on how to replace the lines. Best of luck!

I need to remove the gas tank on my 2000 harley wide glide. I don't have a manual to show me how to do this job. I bought the harley turn signal relocation kit but the instructions do not tell me how to...

If you have a trip reset knob, take the small screw out of it. and the take the chrome nut off the center of the console. Work the console off the speedometer. Depending on what type of speedo you have, you'll have to take the dash mounting hardware loose, unplug the connectors and lay all of that aside. Then you'll have to drain the tank. Depending on whether you have a carb equipped engine or a fuel injected engine determines what you have to do to get the fuel out. Take the "crossover" line that runs from one side of the tank to the other at the lower front to drain all the fuel out. Then there are two bolts up front and one or two at the rear of the tank that bolt it to the frame. They've made some changes in the WideGlide that I'm not quite up to date on but taking the tank off is no big deal. Pretty straight forward once you get started.

Good Luck

Removing harley davidson ultra classic gas tank

Drain the fuel either by siphening or removing the cross over tube at the front of the tank and letting it drain that way or just block off those cross over lines and leave the fule in the tank for removal.

0) remove seat
1) drain fuel
2) undo cross over line (bottom front of gas tank.
3) shut off pet **** and remove fuel line from pet ****.
4)there should only be 2 bolts holding the tank on, one at the top front of the tank and one at the back of the tank.

All in all a pretty easy (but possibloy messy) job.
