This sounds like your air fuel srew, the adjustment depends on if you have high flow intake and exhuast, if you have a jet kit in your carbs ect. Usually the adjustment is this:

Turn the screw in all the way, keep in mind how mant turn it is going in.

Once the the screw is seated all the way in, go 2 and 1/2 to 3 turns out. This is pretty typical for mast carbs.
