Hi it is definatly some dirt in the carbs, remove the main feed line from the tank into the carbs and gently blow some air into the carbs, and keep your face back, what this will do is blow any excess fuel includeing the dirt and trash that are in the jets out. just be careful not to blow it into your eyes. To actually see whats happing removing the airbox is also a good idea.I had the same problem with my 2002 zx9. Good luck
SOURCE: stalling when starting
if after the two mins ur putting the choke back in and the bike dies, it could be that your needing to adjust the idle speed.
it might just be set on the lower limit so that when ur bike isnt fully warmed up it struggles.

sounds as if you may have a little trash or gunk in your fuel lines. remove the tank and lightly blow air form a waterless air line through the hose that feeds the carbs, this will dislodge and remove any trash that may have settled in the line and jets.( be sure the air box is closed or coverd so you do not blow fuel in your face)

Check the intake manifold/s, even a small leak will make it run poor. Being stored for five years then putting it into use, you may have a blocked main jet. Sea-foam is a great product and I would have used that product to store the bike but not to get it running. It is slow acting so it doesnt work like carb cleaner.

I have an 08 ZZR 600 too, and had the exact same thing happen to me. The fuel pump had to be replaced.
