It could be the size of your front tire. Best readings are obtained when you use 120/70/17

How to reset speedometer on a Chevy cavalier after a jumpstart

I really don't understand your question. There is no need to "reset" a speedometer after a jump start. If there is something wrong with the speedometer, it is not going to be related to the jump start, unless you may have done something like reverse the polarity and caused an electrical short/surge.

My speedometer is not reading my speed! My accelaration and the power to go is completely there. If I'm on the freeway or parked, gauge says that I'm still going 25 mph. The gauge does move, but is FAR...

If the odometer is correct, the problem is in the speedometer head. If the odometer is also not accurate, it may be the speed sensor in the transmission.

Speedometer needle not accurate. It shows a higher speed than the actual speed

Did you perhaps change your tires to a different size or recently swap out the transmission or rear end?

Speedo is not accurate and the faster you go the more inaccurate it gets. It seemed to start doing this when it got cold. The needle moves back and forth at freeway speeds. There is no noise though....

Based on the age of the vehicle I would check the speed gear on the transmission for being worn or loose. If the Speedometer actually has a cable attached to it replace the cable totally. This symptom is more a sign of a worn cable than a twisted cable.

My 2005 Jeep Liberty v6 3.7L 4x2 (Basic base model) check engine light came on and my car mileage is 90,100 miles but I did not pay attention if it came on at 90k. My gas cap also was lost a few days ago...

Gas cap is the most likely cause. For more info you may consider registering for free at The registration gives you access to dozens of free manuals which are very helpful.

My friends 2009 Honda CBR 1000 shows about 8mph less than my 2010 Yamaha Majesty. Are there know issues with the Majesty? Could there be something wrong with my bike's speedometer? I just bought it 2...

Sometimes there is some variance between identical new motorcycles. I had friend claim that his BMW speedometer was accurate and my Honda was off by 5 mph. We had the same brand(Dunlop) and size of tire. I changed my tire, same brand(Dunlop), same size, different "style" and now both speedometers read the same speed . This tire was the same number size but mounted stood taller than the old tire. What my friend failed to realize was that his cycle came stock with a Metzeler so he was not reading accurately either. So do not dismay, your friend may not have the correct height tire on his bike. You will have to make some speed runs past on of those signs that tell you how fast you are going and see how accurate your machine is. My 2009 Suzuki DR200 reads 2 MPH slow by the police speed signs.
