The reed valve assembly should hold solvent withot leaking. Remove for test. Disassemble and clean reeds and reed seat. Perfect seal is very important.

Good luck,

The best way to tell is hold the reed cage from the back up to light look around outside edges of reeds for light. if you see a little light usually means reeds are worn but, i dont think the are your problem sound like you need a carb cleaning as for your air screw start by turning it all the in and back it out about 1/1/4 turns start bike and adjust by listening to sound of motor idling and throttle response. also be sure that your piston and rings are up to specs as this will effect the overall tuning of the bike. hope this helps.

2003 KX125 glycol seeping out of vent line underneath reed valve block. Can anyone explain how this can happen?

Hi, Farley my best guess assuming you mean the crankcase breather line is any gasket/seal that comes in contact with coolant has failed or was improperly installed. Why is my mid 70's 2cylinder Worthington shop air compressor ( for powering pneumatic tools) suddenly leaking the compressed air out of the tank, back up through the air filter ?

You will probably have reed valves inside the head. One may be bent or broken or you may have simply blow a head gasket which is easy to fix. just google reed valves in a air compressor and you will see the setup.
You will need to take the head off which will be 6 or 8 bolts and have a look. Not hard If it is a gasket it will only cost you $30 or $40 for a kit.

Ok....My compressor knowledge and terms of parts is very weak...So I will try my best to describe my problem....When I bought the Campbell 8 gallon compressor, and when I started to use it, in the...

The compressor will fill slowly if there is a leak at a fitting or pressure leaking back from the checkvalve. It will also fill slowly if there is a worn / broken reed valve/s and or leaking gasket in the head. Try easy test first. With compressor running and air filter off, spray soapy water on all joints looking for leak (also spray on head of pump to check leaking bolts /gaskets). If leaking, repair as needed. If no leaks are found with soapy water, stop compressor and listen for leak at the pressure switch unloader valve. If no air appears to be leaking from the compressor then most likely problem is with reed valves or gasket in the head. Remove head very carefully trying not to tear gaskets. Examine reed valves for broken parts and or burned /broken gaskets. If gaskets or reed valves are bad, the discharge air tube will be very hot. Repair as needed. Good luck

Compressor will run but not build pressure. Air is coming out of compressor inlet filter. What could be my problem

You have a broken reed valve(s) in the pump. Without knowing your model number I don't know if it's repairable nor can I recommend a replacement part. If the head is removable, take it off and check the valve plate under it. There should be two or more reeds on each side. If they are chipped or broken or warped from heat they won't seal the valve holes and the system can't build pressure.
