Best bet go to the dealer check for after market parts from parts unlimited, street, LP "lockhart phillips" or pay the price for an O.E.M

Foot brake lever bolt has sheared, what do I need to replace and how do I gain access to it?

Hi, Clyde the brake pedal bolt is usually a threaded shoulder bolt and the threaded part left in the frame or support bracket needs to be extracted and if it's rusted your better off taking it to a shop they have special tools for such things for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. How to replace mt03 foot peg

First remove the split pin under the foot peg then push the mounting pin through.

Take note of the way the spring is in the end of the foot peg and swap it over to the new peg before replacing.

Reverse the removal procedure - the spring and pin can sometimes be a little difficult to line up and compress the spring at the same time but a simple job all and all.

My right side foot peg shaft is loose. How do I tighten it?

If you are talking about the front foot peg. Take the screw that holds the peg to the mount out. Inside the mount you will see an allen that tightens the mount to the shaft you will need to tighten this allen. Then put the peg back on and your done.

Trying to get right side foot peg case off foot peg seems to have a nut behind case not sure how to get off

Yes there is a nut on the backside of the stud that the peg mounts to. The stud is also the shaft for the rear brake pedal. To get to the nut, take the master cylinder loose and the snap ring that holds the rear brake pedal on or the remove the pin from the brake pedal. Now, take the large nut below the peg and brake pedal shaft off and the other two bolts that hold the front sprocket cover on. Remove the cover and you can get to the nut.

Good Luck

How do i install foot pegs on a 2005 sportster 1200 custom

Unless they've changed something that I don't know about, simply remove the pegs that are on the bike now and replace them with whatever type of pegs you want.

Now, if your bike is equipped with forward controls and you are wishing to install a set of mid mount foot pegs, you will need to purchase the foot peg mounting pieces. You need to go to a dealership, look at the parts manuals, and order the parts you need from them. Or, you could look around at a swap meet and possibly find the parts you need used. By doing this, you would have both mid mount and forward controls. Just make sure there is no interference with any linkage for the rear brakes or shifting. I have not done this particular job on a Sportster but have done it on a Dyna Wide Glide once. Turned out nice but the control linkage is different on a Sportster.

Check your primary chain. Don't know if it is, my 07 used to do the same - feels like something hitting more on the left side.
