MONKMANWK is a ******. your bike DOES have an oil filter. It's on the right side of your bike right by the clutch casing with three different bolts.

My 2001 wr250f ran today on choke for a couple mins then I shut it off. I went to start it and nothing happened I pulled the plug and it was fouled then I put a new one in and still nothing any ideas

I will assume it has spark and compression. Clean the tank, put a new fuel filter on it, clean the carb jets, put in a new accelerator pump and float needle. be sure you get the float set right. hit the trails

Yamaha wr250f backfiring whislt starting

has it been sitting? if so its going to need a carb clean, its just starving for fuel, also you might want to throw a new plug in it #CR8E and one more thing and this is a very common mistake, make sure the air filter is installed and has filter oil on it, believe it or not that filter and the oil thats supposed to be on it play a major role in the runability of that bike.

Hi, Roger for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

How often for valce cleance on wr250f

it depends on how you ride the bike.. If you are constantly ridding it wide open you should check them more often.. but the usual time to check them would be around every ten or so hours.. if the bike dont want to start for you the valves are probally tight so check them

What type of oil does my wr250f take? I need to do an oil change soon

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell. If in a hot area like Texas or New Mexico go with 20w50. The bike uses 1.27 quarts of oil.14860af.gif
The oil filter is on the right side just forward and up from the clutch. It has a somewhat triangular mounting bolt pattern on the outer perimeter of a round cover and uses 3 different types of bolts. They must go back into the same place each came from. Long one is top right, bolt with collar goes on the bottom.

Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer? And it doesn’t cost anything extra!
