Problem for Buell 2003 Firebolt XB9R
Occasional abnormal Engine banging and clicking!

i have a 2003 buell firebolt xb9r it clicks and bangs from time to time but only at stand still in neutral or just stopping at a red light! Paramount harley davidson in framingham MA, took my engine apart and found no problems at all????????????????? Please help!

Hmm, not much to go on...I don't know that engine well, but suggest a loose primary chain may give these symptoms...clicking when it hits the screw bosses at idle and some backlash when slowing down to lights. A long shot could be poor oil supply to your hydraulic tappets causing the clicking and banging as they go metal-to metal. Check oil pump and increase idle speed to 1100-1200rpm to get some oil pumping. Good Luck
