Question about 2003 Yamaha DT 125 R

1 Answer

I have a Yamaha DT125R 2003 and am looking to increase the ride height. On either side of the back wheel there is a cog with numbers on, I presume if I loosen the bolt and adjust this it will change the angle of the arm and inscrease the height. Can someone confirm this for me?? Thanks

The cog as you discribe it is the chain tensioner for the back wheel. look at the rear shocker and you will see 2 castlated locking nuts this is how you adjust the rear suspension,by undoing 1 of them you adjust the other then tighten the other onto it making sure they are both tight together

I have a craftsman revolution riding mower and its having troubles turning to the left. model 247.28933 any ideas??

Check the steering rack cogs r
Are not missing each other as you turn the wheels left if the teeth gap increases as the wheels turn the rack is worn and will need adjusting so the teeth meat better or the rack will need to be replaced this . Part can be quite expensive I had a countax ride on same problem would not turn to the left easily or the steering wheel would just spin. Around but the front wheels did not move until you pushed them by hand 're engaging the cogs on the rack it was nearly £ 596+ vat just the parts needed to repair it

I have two levers on the right hand side of my bike Dawes c1.1. One on top and one underneath. Gears numbered 1 to 6 Presumably 6 is the rear smallest cog and 1 upper largest cog. Does the bottom...

Well, you're looking at. Shift it each way and find out. Two separate controls suggests binary opposing function.

You'll probably find it here. Adjustments will be necessary at some point.

RC30 Rear Wheel Spindle.

I presume u mean the thread does not protrude much (if at all) past the nut
How does the nut lock?
split-pin / R clip or cir-clip - it must come through much further
tab / spring-washer - it should be at least flush (level) with the nut
or if it is a Nylock / Aircraft-style locking nut - the spindle should protrude at least 5mm to allow for the thread lead-in

Ride safe

How much oil for 2003 yz 250f fork seals

3 Pints is average but you can adjust it to your riding style and weight. Stock oil height is around 130mm from top but you could set it around the 110 to 100 range for increased bottoming if you do a lot of big jumps ect.. 5w oil is the usual weight but fork oil goes up to 20w.

Rear height of r15

you have increased the width of the tire only 5mm on the sides, all you need to do is to trim the mud guard down just enough to clear the tire and still work as a mud guard. if you were to install a longer shock you would change the geomerty of the machine making it harder to sit (higher) on and ride in the leaned over position seat no longer flat but leaning down hill to forks
