Did oil light come on before you serviced it? Have you checked oil? If oil is low then light will come on. Does the bike have an oil filter? If the light was on before the person serviced it and it has an oil filter, then they must have not changed the oil filter. A clogged oil filter will reduce oil pressure and turn light on. Do you have the manual that came with the bike? In there it should tell you the specific reason for the light. Whether it is oil pressure or low oil level or both. I hope this helps

2006 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 oil pressure issues

Hi, Anonymous you may have a faulty sending unit to check for normal engine oil pressure, make sure the engine oil level is between the add and full marks on the dipstick. Remove the oil pressure sending unit, located on the right engine case, behind the oil filter mounting bracket, and replace/plum/or rig with a known good mechanical gauge that reads 0 to 40/50 lbs. Start the engine and run it until the engine oil reaches the normal operating temperature of 230 degrees. At 1,000 RPM, the oil pressure should be 2 to 4 lbs. at 2,000 RPM the oil pressure should be 30 to 38 lbs. Hi I own a Honda Shadow VT600CD LX and the kickstand won't stay up. I already replaced the spring and that didn't do it. Please Help!

Hi, Kimberly well what you need to do is go to a hardware store or Home Depot even another bike shop and buy a spring that is similar in design winding thickness only 1/2" shorter if that doesn't work get one 3/4" shorter and for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below.
