Sounds like a blown rocker cover gasket, its quite common, although you may have a warped rocker cover thats quite common on Harleys as well, order a new gasket, which you'll need anyway, while you've got the rocker cover off check for warp with a straight edge.if the cover is warped order a new one, Harley were recalling a few bikes not long ago to replace the same thing, but l think they were around 04-05 sporties cant be sure.

Is a blown head gasket the only reason my oil could be milky

Hello and yes. Your coolant is mixing with the oil causin the milky color. Keep a eye on your coolant level its going to drop due to bad gasket. Hope this is helpful

Exactly how much oil is it using? Is it blowing wite or blue smoke whe you are running it?

Typically, with the engine running at full throttle, an air cooled engine can consume up to 1 oz. of oil, per cylinder, per hour.

When you had the heads off and looked at the cylinders, were there still hash marks from the factory honing process or were they shiny and no hash marks? If the hash marks are still visible, the cylinder is okay but if they are shiny and smooth with no hash marks showing, you need to measure the diameter of the cylinders to see if they are badly worn and in need of further repair

I have found on several occasions with the Intek V twin, if the dipstick is not properly seated, there will be a crankcase air leak which will also cause excessive oil consumption. When you put the dipstick in its tube, be sure that the symbol is right side up when in the fully turned position, also verify that the o-ring is in place and good condition. Look at the inside of your dipstick cap to see if there is a lot of "oily dirt" accumulated there, if there is, the dipstick has been inadvertently installed wrong.

either the cylinders are glazed[ does it do much idleing?]or you need to use a heavier grade of oil which is the simple solution . 200 hours is nothing i`v had honda`s that will do that in 3 weeks.and you wont toutch them for 18 months or more.give it a light hone or go to a20w/50 oil

My 1995 olds royal 88 has blue smoke coming from engine area

Blue smoke is oil and if it's coming from your engine compartment most likely means the gasket on your valve cover either needs to be replaced or it could even be as simple and needing to tighten the valve cover bolts a bit. Oil is leaking from the valve covers and working it's way to your hot exhaust manifold and that is where the smoking is most likely coming from.

I just changed the thermostat on 3.4 L 1999 Pontiac Gr Am GT THINKING IT WOULD FIX THE OVER HEATING. But there is white steam coming out the exhaust! The oil is not milky so it's not a head gasket. There's...

Are you adding coolant?
Yes ......means it's going somewhere.
Fill the coolant tank to the top...right to the top....leave the cap off and run the engine.
If you see bubbles you need a head gasket.
The intake gasket is another source of coolant leaks and at this area the coolant can be sucked into the engine and produce a white smoke.
Does the car run rough at the first start in the morning....could be antifreeze burning off in the cylinder or area that was leaking overnight meaning cyl gasket or intake gasket.
Look at the rear head to block area below the exhaust manifold.
Is there any trace of coolant or stains of coolant......yes means head gasket time.
Pressurizing each cyl at a time with air with the valves closed in that cyl will quickly show the location of the bad head gasket with bubbles coming out of the fill tank on the bad cyl (s).
Head gasket leaks don't always mean milky oil.

What is the cylinder compression psi fpr the 2.0 liter engine

usual on 4 cylinder around 175psi.225psi is very high for your car,150psi seems ok,you may have two problems.A leaking head gasket and high compression due to carbon build up on the pistons.Check your Hyundai Dealer to see is this problem is covered under their 100,000 mile warranty,it should be.IF not then
the head needs to come off and had gasket replaced along with clean the top of pistons since they are right there, sounds like and easy fix.also check condition of radiator, and I would rec. replacing thermostat since some Hyundai models had problems with their thermostats

Oil leaking from front cylinder head, high on the front of the cylinder.above the horn.

Tighten the cylinder head down and hope the gasket seals up. It probably will.

Hard to find oil leak.

yes if the repair was something related to the oil leak,it would be covered by the 12 / 12,000 mile warranty from the dealer... if they performed the work..when taking back to the dealer, ask them to use an engine dye to pinpoint the leak if they cannot see the obvious..theres many possibilities of an oil leak from the back o the cyl head, there is several gaskets that can be leaking, the dye would be the best or looking at it from below o a lift..if they performed the work they shouldnt have a problem looking at it...sometimes just a few pair of eyes helps as well... from different angles.

I have a 350 cu. inch chevy engine. I just did a compression test on all cylinders and found cylinders 1,2,7,8 have 140. while cylinder 3 has 135 cyl 5 has 130 cyl 4,6 has 125. there is no hesitation on...

Try shooting oil into 4 and 6, then retake compression test. If they come up you have worn rings, if not you could have a slight leak around the valves. or a slight leak in the head gasket between those two cylinders.
