Question about 1989 Suzuki GSX 750 F (Katana)
I have an 1986 gsxr 400 just bought it.it only starts the odd time and will only go up to 7000rpm and then dies and conks out and is very hard to start again.i tuck out the carb and cleaned it up and same with the spark plugs and petrol tank.and checkt the spark plugs are very dry after trying to start it.seems like its not getting petrol.but by past the carbs and it doesnt start either.think it could be the coils.or is the engin just fuckt?????? thanks
You should also check ignition, there may be a fault with the coil or ignition generator, am manual would give you basic tests, are all jets clean and clear? Is the float valve letting enough fuel into the float chamber? Is ther good supplies of fuel getting to the main float valve's? Check your spark, it should be ccrisp and fat, and be powerful, ignition systems have so much that can develope intermittent faults, i no your truly in a Nightmare! Good Luck, The Yeti - Hastings
