Hi im trying to find a accelerator pump.for xr250baja but am not having any luck

did you check fluid level -color and smell [burnt] low or burnt fluid can cause these problems you can try flush and a filter change ---unless you have training in transmissions anything other than fluid change send to a mech ---trans dont have a fuel pump---

replace the gasket

I am thinking alternator. Try turning headlights on to increase electrical load and see if sound changes.

You may also try listening for the noise by touching the various items.

sounds like a injection problem have the OBD read will give you a code to where problem lies

Hi Dustin, Any relationship to Hofman? Have the fuel filter replaced and the fuel pump pressure tested. If the catalytic converter becomes blocked it can also restrict engine performance, so much so it can stop the engine from starting. Regards John

You've either got some kind of contaminate in the float bowl or the jets are stopped up on your bike. If it runs as long as you keep twisting the throttle, it's run off the fuel from the accelerator pump. No fuel is getting through the jets. I'd take the fuel line loose and check the fuel flow. If your bike was made after 1996, you'll need a vacuum source to check the petcock as it is vacuum operated. I'd take the carb off and have it gone through as well. Check the vacuum hose that runs from the rear of the carb over to the VOES and the backside of the fuel petcock.

If your car is running hot it could be the water pump.. Is the fan blower blowing? If no check relay and fuse. If yes . Check water make sure it is full, thermostsat could be bad , last of all heater core is bad.Good Luck!!!

probably sucked up some junk from the bottom of the gas tank when ran low. change fuel filter and try some seafoam cleaner, this stuff seems to be pretty good at removing carbon and heavy deposits.

Could be the fuel pump.My truck did this once.It would start right up and it would go as long as I didnt touch the gas pedal.When i hit the gas it would sputter and try to shut off untill I let off the gas.Some little shops might do a fuel pressure test cheap.If you think the the fuel is ok all you do is start replacing the stuff.Could be anything plugs,wires,coil,cap or rotor.If you have the money its good to replace that stuff anyway.Im sure its the pump though let me know.Good luck.

Im not to sure but i would be checking the air filter box in this case,just maybe something might be getting sucked up into the intake when you accelerate its a simple chek good luck.
