On my 1986 GPZ600 the rear brake siezes up when I use it.

Sounds like you need to service the caliper. Remove the piston from the caliper by pumping the brake pedal, be warned you will get brake fluid everywhere. Remove piston seals, dust and oil, you'll probably find that the grooves where they usually reside are full of 'crud' thoroughly clean the grooves, clean the seals then inspect seals for damage and replace if necessary, grease seals (high temp grease) and put back into caliper, wipe away excess grease. Inspect piston for corrosion, minor corrosion can be flatted back with 1200 grit sandpaper, if too badly corroded replace. lightly grease piston (high temp grease) and push into caliper. the piston should slide in easily by hand. Finally bleed caliper well, flush new fluid through entire system.

81 honda cb650 custom. when my brakes get

Sound like your brake caliper for the front (I'm assuming that it's the front) is hanging up. They get corrosion and the caliper piston sticks. Have it rebuilt, or do it yourself. I take it off, and use compressed air at the hose connection to "blow" out the piston, with a piece of wood where the pads go to protect the piston from the blasting out. Be careful when doing this because it comes out like a shot!!! If it wont move, I have made a grease fitting fastener that threads in, and pumped grease into it to remove the piston, messy but safer. Clean up the piston and caliper real good and re-asemble. Use brake fluid to lube up the seal.

Any special tools required for front brakes on a 1991 Dodge Ram 1500 ?

Nothing other than Caliper piston retractor or large "c" clamp to push the caliper piston back into the caliper body.

Front brake caliper sticking

ello m8,, the pistons on the caliper sond bit seized, one caliper at a time,, undo the bolts that hold the caliper on the fork, , take off the brake caliper from the wheel ,, get your self some copper grease ,or for now any grease,, pull in the brake lever as if u were braking, and see if the piston moves in the caliper, pump the lever a few times, untill it moves then smear some grease round that piston or both pistons, then prize the piston back in ,,pump the lever again a couple times then put back on the wheel then bolt it back up,, do the same to the other caliper ,,try that 1st mate,, cheers

The hard part is pressing the caliper piston abck into the caliper so you can get the new, thicker pads over the rotor. A large C Clamp works best.
