The Haynes Shop manuals are God sends. They have everything you need and then some to be able to tear down and rebuild your bike and maintain it through the years. tend to be about $40 but are worth hundreds if you ask me.

I have a cub cadet lt 1042 ,when I start mowing it will go the regular speed for a while then it will slow up

The adjustment of the hydro is time consuming easy adjustment . Make sure hydro fluid is filled to the top and your belt that runs the cooling fan is ok . Your brake adjustment should be checked also . Same type of spring threaded double bolt set up . Might be dragging ?
Remember it is easy to adjust the system but it is turn the bolt and spring, lock the bolt, drive it - some machines that come into our repair shop just do not have the ground speed anymore .
Mostly caused by never cleaning the piles of dead grass sitting on the rear axle - it is air cooled too and owners neglect to keep the engine, deck, rear axle clean .

Replace pump but hard to steer when sitting still and at times turn corners

Did you bleed system well enough and did you use the proper fluid. To bleed, start vehicle and turn steering lock to lock several times and recheck fluid , i dont know what vehicle it is but thats pretty standard for most some hondas really need honda fluid

Y Lexus GX 470 just came out of shop for radiator problems and now rides like it has NO shocks. I t is sitting very low to ground height does not adjust automatically. It is like riding in a clown car...

Does the car have hydro-pneumatic suspension similar to big Citroen's? If so checked the level settings and fluid levels. If not you need to get the suspension checked, springs, shock absorbers and all linkages.

Honda Shadow VLX600 Problem\r\nDo I need to clean out all fluids if my bike has been stored without starting for 17 yrs?

Yes all fluids should be changed, dont forget the brake fluid. The brake system may need carefully checking before riding since unseen corrosion could damage things over that time.
You should have a tire shop check the tires as they could become perished and unsafe over that period of time.

Shifts into gear extreemly hard

Often the fluid type can do that. If you just had the fluid changed recently, it's likely that the wrong fluid was used (they all have different friction coefficients) If I remember correctly Chrysler makes an additive that will help with harsh shifting as well.
If not a fluid problem, then likely you have a pressure control problem inside the unit that would need to be checked by a shop using gauges. (could be as simple as a "kick-down"cable adjustment to correct)
