one more thing to remember the cagiva mito is a race built bike and is really only ment for the track even tho they made road leagal versions but as it is race spec things wear out quickly and can be very costly to repair so make sure u strip it down evry couple of months or so maybe 1ce evry 6 months is reasonable and just check everything over make sure there is no real problems with wear and tear cuz for a 125 there quite high powered

Hey my lexmoto assult just will nt start today normally it takes time to start as I keep it outside and today just nothing there's a spark on the spark plus I have fuel and abrand new battery any ideas...

First check the silly things. Is there fuel in it? (Yes, I've done that!). If it is fitted with a 'dead' switch have you turned it off?
Next check the battery. Cold starts are hard work even for new ones. A multimeter set to volts should show about 12.6v at fully charged. If it is below that and it has been struggling to start you might need to get the battery charging system tested as a 125cc engine should start easily on a fresh battery.
Next check the air filter is clean. A dirty filter can have a bigger effect than you think.
When was it last serviced? Old spark plugs can become weak and not fire properly.

Storing your bike over winter!!!

when your motorcyle has been stood for a while like over winter..keep the battery charged up. if its got carbs..run them out of petrol befor storeing. has petrol goes off in the carbs & gums them up. whitch then when you come to use the bike you need to strip the carbs & clean the float bowls & clean the jets out..has with a lot of problems i have seen on here when bikes have been stood they wont rev or even start because the petrol carnt get threw...if the bikes been stood a long time you need fresh petrol anyway as it goes off!!...

Bike been stood for 6 months and will not start when i veiwed it we had to bump it but now it will not work ive re-charged battery wat shall i do now

The problem may be the petrol. Usually after 3 months, the petrol itself in the carburettors tends to evaporate and leave behind the additives. These act as a gum and block up everything including the jets !! Apart from the gum, the petrol now fails to ignite - DO NOT TEST THIS LAST PART OUT, just accept that it may be. Firstly, drain the petrol from the carb. and change the petrol in the tank. Prime the carb (with a few twists of the throttle) and try it again. If your lucky, enough will get through to ignite, once it's running, you can then drop in a few cc of something like redex and clean the carbs while running. If the petrol doesn't ignite then I'm afraid its a carb clean. Get a haynes manual and look first before stripping the carbs down. Not difficult to do.

Car will not start

Hey bro, battery might not give enough juice to fire the coils. I know you said it had spark but it might be intermittent. Try bump starting it if you can. I suspect it's the battery, try a boost too. If it is sparking, and you have gas, then it should at least sputter. I suspect the plugs got fouled when you were trying to start it with the weak battery, then when you tried with a charged one they were fouls so they couldn't fire. Take a wire brush over the plugs to clean up the carbon, make sure the battery is full, or boost off someone at the same time. If it fires, your batt is just too old and the plugs were fouled. Cheers bro.

I have a 1984 Yamaha SRV, it hasn't been run in

There is no battery on the SRV's. Don't look there. I have an SRV that sat for several years. Disassemble the carburetor, clean out the jets with carb cleaner and a toothpick or small copper wire, When you think you are done, start again and clean it like you were just starting. These are great motors but the carbs have to be kept clean. At the end of the season, empty the carb by removing the plug on the bottom and draining it.

My slingshot wont start. think the timing needs set up. engine just turns and occasionally backfires. please help!

If you have not change anything it will not be the timing sounds like a carb issue to me has the bike been siting for a while clean the carbs fresh plugs charge the battery and most of all fresh fuel as moden lead free petrol goes flat in about three month
