97 kawasaki lakota 300

My problem is not in any category listed. i have changed out the primary and secondary clutch and plates on my 97 Kawasaki lakota 300. when i start the atv and put into gear it wants to take off (move) i have adjusted the adjustment screw both ways. it is either taking off or not moving when i push the throttle. i tried to set it in the middle but no sucess. is there any sugestions on what would be causing it to do this?

I'm assuming u r talking about the pivot rod that has the spring behind it to change gears it is connected to the inside of clutch cover. it is installed

It is packed from inside basket solid/friction/solid/friction.

havent got to check about the ruff edges. from what i remember it the clutch plates have little squares on both sides. is one side of squares higher than the other side?

SOURCE: no key for our kawasaki bayou 220

On the Bayou 220 you have 2 wires from the Ignition Switch. If I was you I would wire them 2 to a toogle switch or push bottom start.

SOURCE: my kawasaki lakota 4 wheeler was running perfect

i suggest that you pull the throttle slowly and gently... and if this dosent work theres a problem with your bike .. you may need to change the engine oil or spark plugs..

I have a kawasaki lakota 300 (2001) It starts and runs with the choke on soon as i turn choke off it dies idle adjustment screww does nothing. I can here that it is working. Ive ran it up and down the...

You need to take off your carburetor , disassemble it, and clean the jets (specifically the slow jet) and the passageways in the carburetor body that feed the gas to the carburetor throat. Carefully set your air screw setting back to stock setting. and reassemble. Inspect the intake manifold and air box tubes for cracks and separations. That should get you idling again.

97 lakota 300 runs but backfires constantly. carb was gummed up . i totally went thru carb . new plug and battery. charging ok. new gas and oil.

hopefully you connected the air hose in a manner that no air leaks occured,if the plug colour is grey or white,it may be running lean if its sucking too much air in

Problem with the valve/front brakes on 2001 Kawasaki 300

sounds like that the piston o-rings are warn out. replace them on the master cylinder and get your self a 12 inch tube and a small glass jar loosen the bleeder valve put the tube on the bleeder valve and the other end in the jar put brake fluid in the jar and put it in the reservoir don't let ether run out and keep moving the brake lever it will get the air out of the lines quicker, repeat this for the other side
