Question about Honda Spacy 125 Motorcycles

1984 Honda Elite cr125

My honda elite 125cc was going about 55mph, which for a bike from 1984 with only 7k miles on it is great (55 is the rated top speed in the original manual), but after a ride around in the country it decided to **** out and now has trouble reaching 30 on a flat paved surface. i've checked the air filter and fuel filter, tried running fuel injector/carb cleaner gas additive, and all that jazz. earlier today my uncle noticed a leak from the bottom of the carb, and i need to know how to remove the carb to service this.

rebuilt carb earlier this morning, as i work second shift so night is my day time. one of the needles that goes into a jet is controlled electronically and was covered in dirt. i had assumed this was the problem, however it still is running sub par. so a new question, would a tiny 5mm tear in the gasket on top of the carb that houses a spring and another needle be causing such a dramatic speed drop?

I have a 2010 Goldwing GL1800. I'm having controll issues when riding 70 MPH or faster, especially with a cross wind or tail wind. What can cause the bike to wobblie and drift?

probably nothing because at 70mph any form of wind will greatly affect the handling of the bike
at 70mph even truck, stability can be affected by winds and they have more wheels than a bike

I have a 1993 Honda 125cc was told to mix gas but these oil in crankcase do I need to mix?

You would never mix any fuel and oil for the crankcase. If it is a 2-stroke engine, the fuel and 2-stroke oil will need to be mixed before entering the cylinder. Some engines have an automatic mixing setup - those have a separate oil reservoir for 2-stroke oil, but it will usually be a plastic tank, located nowhere near the crankcase. On a "4matic" engine, it fires like a 4 stroke, but there is no crank case, and the fuel needs to be mixed like a 2 stroke. What is the vehicle you are referencing? A dirt bike or street bike? It seems the CR125 and NR125 are both 2 stroke engines, so somehow the fuel needs to be mixed with 2-stroke oil. Can you take a picture of the crankcase oil cap?

2004 Honda Elite 80 Base owners manual

Hi, Anonymous the vast majority of service, parts fiche, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee around $10 and there is a handful of obscure, rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer or never were available, for these rare occasions I shall look on eBay and find the cheapest one available. Most of the manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. If there is no $ sign after the manual link it is free to download for viewing or printing.
To download your manual please click on the blue links below. Good luck and have a wonderful day

Best tires for 1982 GL1100?

Dunlop Elite II tire will give you the best mileage and handling If they are still available in your size. MY friends BMW K75rt and my GL1000 both got 40,000 miles before we needed replacement. Before that I got 50,000 out of a pair of Dunlop Tour Elites on a CX500 Honda. I sold that bike with the tires still on it and they looked OK.Unfortunately , I have no experience with the Dunlop Elite III, other than hearing many noise complaints.

I've got a 76 Honda CB200T in really nice condition with 7K miles. It starts and runs well but seems to only want to do about 55mph (6500 RPM). I know the redline isn't 'til about 9300, but this bike just...

The CB200 may be able to do better when new however being only 200CC and the age of the machine this may be its best. You could check the compression to see what you have; if these are lower there would be some lose of power there. Also the carbs may need a once over, this too may get you more. However I would not expect to cruise at 65MPH with a 200CC, she'd be running pretty hard. The redline may not be unitil 9300RPM however the engine lacks the torque/power to push it beyond where you're at now, the 9300RPM may be used to get you there. In theory if you could take it out in max. gear to 9300RPM the bike would do @ 110MPH; many 750CC bikes cannot do this.
Great bike though, should treat you well, enjoy the ride and the gas mileage...

All you need is a philips head screwdriver, start with the tail cover. underneath you find a 10mm bolt (socket) than 2 more screws, one obeve the foot peg and one close to the lock for the seat. An 18mm socket for the sparkplug.
Good luck, Cees
