Shifting Fork may be bent or wore out, It also may be the Synchronizer that "holds" it in gear went bad. The Gear could be wore out or Warpped also.

How many rpms should i go on my honda cbr 600

hi,i dont know a lot about this particular bike, but,as with any high revving sports bike you will need to keep the revs up before changing gear,an 883 sportster has a lot more torque than your bike and you can "short shift "them and let the torque do the work, however on a cbr i think you will need more rpm before you shift as they dont have the torque of your old harley,a friend of mine has an r6 yamaha, that thing revs out to nearly 17000 rpm he doesnt change untill about 9 or 10000 rpm, from memory your bike should be capable of nearly 60mph in first gear..hope this helps...cheers

Yamaha Thundercat 600 Drive knocking problem. Jolting/knocking felt throught the footpegs. Does not occur when clutch is in regardless of revs, does not happen when decelerating with throttle closed, seems...

remove the rear wheel & remove the rear sprocket and sprocket hub from rear wheel. (should just pull out) inspect the cush drive rubbers, chanches are they are destroyed & dissinagrated....replace them. check your wheel bearings in hub & sprocket plate.check axle. sprocket teeth & chain...reassemble and go riding..

96 cbr f3. removed gauges now bike will not run right.

its probably put the bike in limp mode which limits the bikes performance while being diagnosed for problems.they cant be read now because you have removed the readout from the system. the meter in these bikes are an integral part of the entire elec. system. when you reinstall the meter, it will probably flash a "code" to show the problem it encountered. unhook the battery for about 5 min. then rehook and start bike. after warmup, it should run ok if all systems are goes.

Final drive knocking/jolting

Does the engine's sound working follows this jolting or it does nothing to do with it?If you close your eyes can you hear the jolting (not as a metal sound but as an engine's hick up)?

Power jolt in second gear

sounds like you got good advice at the shop. it is rideable worst case scenario you will lose second gear completely but these bikes can go without it. just not as fun.
