If I remember right the 500 had an orange tank and side covers, the 750 was purple.

If there are no painted parts left on the bike, there should be a boss on one of the case halves next to the cylinder indicating the displacement in CC's

It's an H-1 or an H-2...... 2 stroke screamer...should be some #s stamped on the motor...keep lookin...if you can bottom one of the pistons and pour approx 250 cc of oil in the cylinder you have a 750 motor , if it only holds approx 166 cc of fluid then you have the 500 model....Good luck to you friend......Tim

Just to confuse you a bit more, they made a 350 in 1973 also. The bore of a 500 is 60mm and 53mm for the 350. I still miss my 1972 S2 350, even that **** wee bike was fast for it's size.

Where is the vin number located on a 1999 kawaski mule, need help asap thanks

For most late-model Mule™ side x side, the VIN is located on the forward frame rail below the seat. For all Trans4X4® models, the VIN is on the left rear driver seat frame rail, and Mule™ 600/610 4X4 models have it on the frame rail below the seat over the fuel tank. On most older Mule models, the VIN is near the front of the vehicle

Where is the vin number on a 1999 kawaski mule located, need help

According to Kawasaki the sidexside has the vin located on the forward front frame rail below the seat. If it is a trans4x4 model then it is located on the left rear driver seat frame rail, if it happens to be a 600 or 610 model on the frame rail over the fuel tank. If it is an older model, then it is located near the front of the vehicle.

Does frame no. tell me year and model of my er-6n kawasaki ?

Count the digits until you reach the 10th one. This is the year designator. This number will be either 1 through 9 or A through Y (excluding I, O, Q and U)
Determine the year of the motorcycle. VIN years started in 1971 with the number "1", then went to "2" in 1972, "3" in 1973, and so on. In 1980, the digit switched to "A" and then went through the alphabet until it got back to "1" in 2001 and then "A" in 2010. Therefore, if the 10th digit is "R," you can determine your bike was made in 1994.

I have a 1993 Harley Davidson Sportster XLH1200! I figured out that the 5th,6th and 7th numbers of my vin on my title are CAP which means its an XLH series! Model Code on my DMV title it says XL2! what...

This is a problem with your title. I'd consult the DMV about this. Here, as long as the VIN is correct as it appears on the frame, everything is fine. Some states use the engine number as their VIN number. Either way, the VIN should be the same as the one on your bike. Talk to the DMV about this.

Good Luck

I have a 80 yamaha XS frame with vin #3J2-005922 I am trying to identify. Is there a chart of vin #s for these bikes I can access somewhere?

Dealers have a microfiche they can look it up on. The model is also on the plate on the frame neck. It should read 1980 XS850SG on the corner of the vin# plate. On the base of the cylinders on the front of the motor should be cc displacement stamping (850 cc).

Im trying to find out about my bike the vin is 3 DB 000222 its a yamaha 125

Jamie, the numbers shown are not the VIN number unless the bike is 1982 or plder. Current VINs are 17 digits. The VIN is the frame number. If the number shown came off the motor it will be useless in identifing the bike. You can check the VIN on the title if you have it, or find the number on the frame (usually in the steering stem area). The website below can identify the bike by the VIN. Please rate my answer.

Hi i am lookin for identification number for 650 kawaski atv. does anyone no where if is located? how many digits does it have?

The vin number should be on the left hand frame rail. Look forward from the left hand footpeg and the 17 digit vin will be stamped into the frame. The newer models put them on the rear of the frame.

Trying to find out the size of my bike by decoding the vin num. but its an 81 and only 9 digit vin num. can someone help please?

If you are trying to find the CC size of the bike it will say on base of the cylinders somewhere. There is also a number on the motor and it should match the frame.

Year? Parts?

The frame number (VIN #) is what will tell you the information needed. Call a dealer with the VIN number ant they can tell you exactly what you have got. Chances are the dealer can tell you. The Timberwolf came in 2x4 and 4x4 models. You can look up the part numbers for both and see if the casings have the same part numbers. If so, you should be able to do a swap out. Check out the part numbers on the frames.

Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx
