SOURCE: how to adject generater blet on 1972 VW

To adjust the belt tension on a 72 you can slightly loosen the bolts that hold the alternator in place, pull the alternator towards the outside of the loop the belt makes, then re-tighten the alternator bolts. If you can't get enough tension through the adjustment you'll need to replace the belt.

Give examples of noun derivative

noun derivative - a verb that becomes a noun by adding a suffix.

You sometimes come across words which have been derived from their roots by adding certain structures like prefixes and suffixes.

You sometimes come across words which have been derived from their roots by adding certain structures like prefixes and suffixes.
In your earlier years of schooling, you must have been done with exercises and development activities on the use of prefixes
A prefix- is a group of letters added before a word or base to alter its meaning and form a new word. In contrast, a suffix is a group of letters added after a word or base.
5 Example of prefixes:
Prefixes MEANING EXAMPLES
ana- up, back, again analogy, anatomy, anagram
anti- against antipathy, antiwar, antisocial
apo- from, away from apology, apologize
com- with, together communal, community
con- with, together connect, confide conspire
there are so many example of this. i hope it helps. remember that an adjective derivative is a noun, verb and adjective that becomes an adjective by means of adding affixes.
In this lesson, you will deal with deriving words through the use of suffixes.
A suffix added to the end of a root word.
5 Example of suffixes:
Suffixes Meaning Example
-ics things having to do with optics, physics
-ism the belief in pacifism, terrorism, socialism, communism
-logy study field of biology, geology, etymology, cardiology
-or, -er one who takes part in doctor, actor, teacher, driver
-sis act, state, condition of analysis
We have, for example, a verb that becomes a noun by adding a suffix.
This is called a noun derivative
A noun that becomes an adjective by adding a suffix is called an adjective derivative
Example of Adjective Derivative:
subject- subjective
addict- addictive
react- reactive
success- successive
care- careless
ugly- ugliness
hope- hopeless
steel- steely
accept- acceptable
obey - obedient
there are so many example of this. i hope it helps. remember that an adjective derivative is a noun, verb and adjective that becomes an adjective by means of adding affixes.
These are but few ways by which we can identify how words are derived.
