I had the same problem with 2001 v-92, I thought starter button was faulty so i took complete throttle handle muose trap apart, and it was clean and lubed. it still would not start. power was not comingto start button. problem was ecm relay. under right side cover. auto store said gm had lots of trouble on their autos with this relay. replaced it with another relay and end of problem. Also it back fired once starting from a stop sign, I mean loud! scared me to death! Relay fixed problem. My speedo went out also. same relay!

How do I check the safety swiches on my 26jmini rider?

I take it it won't turn over or start (did you check for blown fuse first)Safety or interlock switches are a pain ,but not impossible. I use an ohm meter to check.
there is 2 to 4 wires to each switch and usually 3 switches on a mower SEAT,BRAKE,PTO or BLADE engage.
the two white wires that run to the safety switches are the mostly color used wires that complete the starter starting circut .
unplug connecter from switch and use a piece of short wire (paper clip works nice) to connect or short the white wires together do this to all safety switches and try to start.
check for broken wires and pay special attention to start selonoid witch is part of circut.

95 range rover good battery starter working but will not turn over?

Ugh.... Goes without saying, you have a short somewhere, aka Rover Electrical Gremlin. Could be anywhere in the chain of ignition components. The one and only similar experience I've had led me to the starter. The way that it is positioned and the contact nuts being so close to the body that I believe the full power of the battery supply has enough current to jump this bridge of as little as. 4-5mm and cause an arc. (From the factory the starter comes with a protective rubber boot to prevent this.) Crawl under there (after disconnecting the battery) loosen the nuts on the posts of the starter and tighten them down after you position them in such a way that the cable and any metal on the connector or wire is as far from other metal of the body. If your preotective boot is gone then you need to insulate the positive contact somehow. Tape isn't going to do it, but liquid electrical tape will work or the rubber boot off of an old set of ignition wires could be modified with a bit of enginuity. Remeber to disconnect the negative lead off of the battery before doing ANY electric troubleshooting on a Rover. If by chance you were working on your starter and did not do this, you're in luck, a wrench to the live starter will blow a fuse everytime and this is where your problem would likely be. Good luck, hope this helps. Repost any additional info or questions and ill do my best to help

06 plate citroen c2 wont start

If you check your engine fuse box and find that your 20amp fuse is blown its either a sticking starter relay or water getting in your electrics. Try checking this first as the fuse box is directly above wheel arch and can get damp. Clean up green contacts and keep a spare 20amp fuse handy. After changing this blown fuse you will need to reset the engine management system by disengaging the battery terminal. You're clocks might be out but car will now start. Don't forget to buy that starter relay if problem persists.

2005 GMC Yukon XL will not start. Took starter off and had it tested. The starter is good. However, the PCM fuse is blowing when attempting to start truck or turning turning the switch to start the tr

There is a dead short to ground on that circuit . There are videos on youtube showing how to find an fix a short . Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing ? How to find automotive electrical shorts Look at the wiring harness under the hood for rubbed through wire's , harness going to the PCM , also find out what if any thing else is powered by that fuse . Which PCM fuse ? There are a few PCM 1 , PCM B , etc...

PCM 1 Fuse
Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor, Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid, Fuel Composition Sensor, Secondary Fuel Pump Relay

PCM B Fuse
Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

Any one of these fuse will cause the engine not to crank . The PCM energizes the starter relay which supply's power to the starter .

Replaced A 60am Fuse ,Ran For Two Days. Car Died and now i have no electrial juice to the whole car. suspect fuseable link.

You may be correct about the fusible link. Replacing a blown fuse without finding and repairing the reason it blew only leads to more problems and possible severe damage to wiring harnesses. Fuses are NEVER the CAUSE of an electrical problem. Blown fuses are ALWAYS the RESULT of an electrical problem. I would recommend taking the vehicle to someone who has access to the wiring diagrams and the proper equipment necessary to repair your electrical system. A blown 60 Amp fuse is nothing to play with. That fuse gave up it's life to stop your vehicle from burning to the ground. Please don't make it die in fires are never pretty!

Sometimes i can't get the engine to turn over, nothing happens when i turn the key. battery is good,

Does the oil and battery lights go out or dim when you turn the key to start. If they do then you have a bad connection on the main cable going to the starter if they don't then it's most likely its the small wire on the started that's the problem. To check the small wire on the starter put the pickup in neutral take a piece of wire from the small connection on the starter and touch it to the positive of the battery the starter should turn over. If it wont turn over then the problem is in the starter if it turns over then the problem is a short circut in the wire from the key switch to the starter. The short circut could be a blown fuse or the key switch. It may be the wire itself but this is very unlikely. Cheer's
