Ok this is probably one of two things either you have a bad earth on the bike causing a poor re charge rate or your alternator / magneto has gone up the spout ?.
If it is a bad earth you will probably be getting other symptons as well for insatnce rear bulbs blowing or headlight bulbs blowing ..horn or starter ( if fitted ) works intermittently you get the picture . check around the bike to all points where the loom attaches to the frame or the engine ( usually black wire bolted to earth ..= frame ) remove and check wires then clean the area it was attached to with a bit of sand paper / emery cloth and refit especially the one from the battery Minus side Black ?. that will go straight to frame somewhere . If it stays the same after you do this you need to check the output of the magneto . with the bike running place a multimeter on the battery terminals voltages should be any where between 12.volts to 13.5 or higher check specs in manuel if not then Magneto / dynamo / alternator faulty finaly if all else fails ( and this was left till last as you said it was new check the ph of the battery ie sometimes new battries should be full of acid but are not .. just water I have had a few .. especially if they are the none maintanance type . .. hope this helps Regards vortash

If it is new, send it back, but make sure you carefully read the instructions first. If is says the indicator light is red on charging and green when fully charged and it doesn't do that then the batteries or the charger are defective.

In future make and model are useful. And you posted to electric drills, but I recategorised it.

I changed the starter, put new battery and alternator on my 86 elcamino and still not charging

I don't quite understand what's telling you that your battery isn't charging. Is it an idiot light telling you?? Or, is it that your battery is not retaining enough of a charge to start your engine after a period of time?? Here are some possibilities if your idiot light is staying on: It is quite possible to buy an alternator over-the-counter that does NOT work. Perhaps, having it tested is in order. Next is to check all of the wires to the alternator and see that they are in good shape and connected.
Now, if yours is simply a case of your vehicle not starting after a period of time, here is my contribution as a possibility.... Has the horn ever stuck so that it wouldn't quit honking?? Has somebody unhooked the horns in order to stop the noise?? If so, here's the deal.. Unhooking the horns does NOT disconnect power from the horn relay switch..... which can remain engaged and continue using battery power, day and night, engine running or not. I know that this is a "simple" solution to a discharging battery problem... but, it is an important factor that is SO OFTEN overlooked. If this is, in fact, your problem, you need to either remove the fuse for the horn relay.... or you need to unhook the power from the horn relay.

71 c10 not staying charged... new battery alternator fuses good and new voltage regulator

Maybe it wasn't running long enough to charge up the battery?
Stop trying to jump it, when you are having problems with it dying, take the battery off and have it charged. And/or buy a $20 voltmeter to see what the battery shows. If it says less than 12 volts, it is discharged, and needs charging. A good battery that is not run down should have at least 12.5 volts. A new battery that is charged should have very close to 13 volts, maybe 12.8 volts.
When you have the truck running, check the alternator for charging. You put the voltmeter right on the battery and check it again. This time, with truck running, battery should show at least 13.5 volts. That shows the alternator is working. A good alternator will put out about 13 or 14 volts-the regulator will keep it from going any higher to prevent problems, like a melting battery or electrical parts burning out.
I would say get the charging system working right, then address the problem of dying at stop lights. That could be a carburetor problem, if the alternator is working.

I have just replaced my old indicators with some new led light., But they stay on when i click left or right on the switch, and my horn doesn't work either. Can you please help?

do you have suficiant charge in the battery? were the old indicators the standard kawasaki ones? if so you you must replace the relay with 1 for led indicators, the old relay expects that when you turn on the indicators it will have to suply 12 volts at 42watts, this is not the case with led indicators, i think the horn is coinsedental and not related to the indicator fault, poss needs replacment horn
