The brake light switch should be mounted to the back side of the rear brake pedal housing. My best guess is that the brake switch is heating up when the engine heats up, and is sticking. Clean the exposed part of the shaft of the brake switch plunger and give it a squirt of WD-40, Teflon, or other lubricant where it goes into the housing. Work it manually a few times to distribute the lubricant. If that doesn't do it, take the switch off and disassemble it carefully. Assuming the little spring and contactor don't go flying off and get lost, you should be able to clean and reassemble the switch. Seeing as how I have big fat fingers, poor close up vision without bifocals, and limited patience, I would suggest just buying a new switch just to save on the aggravation.

could be either switch at fault, start by pulling the wire connectors off the rear switch to see if the light extinguishes, if so its the rear switch, if not its the front.

Brake failure light.

This is normal. Its part of the start up diagnostics where the sensors needs to see the wheels rotate 1 or 2 revolutions to verify proper functioning of the ABS system.

Abs light flashing alternatively when putting ignition on

There is a simple way to fix it as I've discovered. Start your bike, if lights are flashing ride for a mile or two applying the rear brake a few times. Stop the bike and place on centre stand. switch off motor then restart. Your flashing lights should have gone. Why the flashing happens is if you ride and use your rear brake rarely and then your bike sits for a day or two without use your rear brake assembly fully retracts, ie pads away from disc and ABS gizzmos inactive. The ABS sensor unit then reports extended non use pattern to the onboard 'brain' which activates the warning mode of flashing lights. This has worked for me several times over the last 5 years when its occured. Full ABS operations return. Tried it on a mates bike and it fixed same problem on his.

My 2003 1200 gt warning light comes on when I touch the brakes either front or rear and stays on. If I don't touch brakes it doesn't come on. the fluid in the rear reservoir got down to the min level and I...

Rene - the manual recommends having the break system checked immediately if the reservoir drops below MIN. It has happened to me once were the warning light was staying on and after carefully riding it down the street in my subdivision the warning light went away.

However if it does not go out after the self diagnostic - there is a possibility the ABS is not functioning and you are only left with a RESIDUAL BRAKING FUNCTION which helps slow the bike but not safe for riding. I would take it to the dealer if the warning stays on and for safety sake -- have it towed.

Brake lights stay on 07 hd fxdb

Have you changed your bars? Check the micro switch behind the brake lever in the housing. Might have moved a bit.
Check that both filaments of the brake light are good and one is not broken.
While you have the brake light cover off check the connectors into the main body of the light. On my Bob (same year) They all plug into there and can be unplugged easily and re-inserted. One might have not been put in all the way home on assembly.
Hope it helps.
