Question about Factory bike Chrono SM 250 Motorcycles

Fkoods out easily

Can't find this scooter in your option box.. Have a 74 Maliguti Scooter. It floods out easily if you go beyond 2 or 3 attempts to start. One thing that helps is letting it sit with the spark plug removed for a good week or so, and then you may be able to run it. Once its up and running its starts quickly there after if you can get kick it off 1st or 2nd attempt. Any suggestions seely10@comcast.net

Bigger pilot jet. and check to make sure your floats arent sticking. there is also an adjustment in the middle of your float pin that holds the plunger. you can bend it up or down for more or less fuel

I would suggest that if you borrowed this, the person you borrowed it from needs to tell you where it should be taken for further troubleshooting. It is beyond what I can help with!

Cannot remove battery pack from scooter.

This battery box attaches to the base platform with some very aggressive Velcro. The bottom of the box has a battery connector that mates up to the platform when the box is put on the scooter. The easiest method is to pull straight up on the battery box using the handle of the box. You will feel the Velcro release. Use 2 hands and wiggle it slightly. Some earlier versions had a battery box that actually locked into the base. This battery box required pulling out the flat release levers on both vertical sides of the box to release the battery box. I am going from memory on this.
If you need another technique, try removing the seat first and stand straight over the battery box. Bending your knees and grabbing with both hands pull the battery box handle straight up. It should release.
Before reinstalling vacuum and clean the platform and bottom of the box so that dirt is not keeping the surfaces from sliding easily.
Hope this helps.

Scooter runs but bogs down when given throttle 2007 triton vento scooter will run bogs down when given throttle

Make sure the air box is installed and the snorkel is on the air box and that it's in good condition. They don't run well or sometimes at all beyond idle without the air box. Could also be a clogged main jet or otherwise dirty carburetor.

Cant get the printed circuit board repaired or replaced for Madrid scooter

The Madrid scooter is a Shoprider scooter. The controller can be repaired by calling 800-798-0325 (Monster Scooter Parts). If you open the controller there are 2 fuses inside which are replaceable and may be the cause of the problem. I have attached a link to the service manual available for download. Refer to Page 14-15 for specific controller info.

Trying to open the battery and just can't get it open. Can you tell me how many screws or where they are please? We're trying to figure out what size battery we need, got two different answers. Ordered...

The battery box for this scooter is easily taken apart to replace the batteries. Remove the battery box form the scooter and turn it upside down. There are 8 screws which hold the 2 halves of the battery box together. The screws require a long shaft Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove because they are at the bottom off long plastic round recesses in the battery box. Don't forget the 8 lock washers under the screw heads.
This scooter takes 2 batteries rated at 12 AH. The best type are AGM batteries (advanced glass mat). When you have the battery box apart, turn it right side up and pry the batteries off the velcro. Note which terminals are connected to red (+) and black (-) on each battery, The batteries and the terminals will be marked. Re-use the velcro by putting it on the new batteries to keep them secure in the box. Connect the four fast tab terminals to the batteries and push down on the batteries to get them to stick to the velcro. Turn the box over and install 8 screws making sure a lock-washer is under the screw head. Using your long screwdriver tighten securely. Plug in and test scooter and charging of the new batteries. Hope this helps.

8 screws 12 or 17 amp AGM
