Unsure if it will plug st8 in but it can definitely be made to work. It's actually a very desirable mod because the 97 ecus had more aggressive advance curves.

Hi Tony what was problem with original ECU? They don't usually cause this problem. An ECU either works or it doesn't check the plug and lead to see if they are breaking down and allowing the spark to jump. Regards Jim...

Reset Ecu for Blade efi

Ok guys since many people asking how to reset the ecu... this is the way ... one point is this is a my version as i took the original version meant for other bikes ...Before you guys reset, take note
If you wanna reset your ECU juz 'for fun' . the End result would be the same.. The ECU can only adjust to within a limited range. plus your bike will lose the precious riding skill that it learned before this . So please reset the ecu if you cahnge the battery , rectifier , coil magnet and anytin related to electrical component .
  1. remove the -ve and +ve wire from the battery terminal respectively and leave it for 10-15min minutes (some says only -ve would do ) ,,well its your call.
  2. connect back the terminals , and now start your bike and leave it idle for 15mins (do not disturb the throttle)
  3. off the engine and leave it for another 10 mins ,,,
  4. Take your bike out and blast ur way throught the road
  5. i) if u like aggressive style ... use the freeway ,, each time b4 u change ur gear , leave the rpm till redline ,,, and when u reach 150kmh , maintain it for 1-2 mins
  6. ii) if u like eazy ride ,,,, juz take your bike and ride normally
Eventually your bike will accustomed to the way you ride on daily basis hoefully this works ,,, CHERRIOSSS From Arvin 'Dr Rock' Raj

My Triumph Street Triple displayed the ECU malfunction light after a flat battery which has since been satisfactorily charged. How can I reset the ECU so my bike doesn't remain in limp home mo

You could try the 12 minute tune which I think is appl;icable to this model. This resets most issues.
Start the bike from not touch throttle then wait til fan comes on then time 12 minutes exactly then turn bike off.If this dont work go to a dealer so they can plug into the ECU and find out the cause..

How do i bypass security system on a 2010 Ducati

The Ducati Immobilizer system works by having the ECU communicate wireless with your key. Once it retrieves the matching code it will allow the bike to start. If this fails there is a method documented in the user manual that permits you to enter the code from your card supplied with the bike. If the bike doesn't start with your other keys then the ECU may be faulty and require replacement.

2003 Honda VTX 1300. I was told the ECU is bad and needs to be replaced. Can it be re-flashed to make it work properly again?

ECU's hardly ever just go out. More likely than anything, its a wiring issue.Probably a bad ground for multiple connections, Im assuming that if the bike was on a dyno, then it is running. If so,..what are the symptoms?

Swapped a 1999 420A engine into a 1995 eclipse (also a 420A) and we have no spark. We started by checking the cam sensor and it is working properly it is upside down from the 95 but the ASD relay is...

first the cam sensor shouldn't be upside down from the 95. they both should be with the plug facing down. they 95 CAS has a different plug than the 99 CAS.
the 95 has round pins and the 99 has flat pins.

also the 95-96 relays are opposite the 97-99

besides that it could be the ecu. i also have heard of the locating pin on the intake cam shearing off, allowing the gear to turn with the timing belt without the actual camshaft spinning.

generally when half the cluster fails it points a a failed instrument cluster, Not the ECU. Either way I would have it diagnosed properly before you replace anything.
