Question about 2005 kawasaki KLX 125 L

1 Answer

The bike Floods itself out.

When i turn on the bike, i turn on the choke all the way and the gas on also. When it turns on it sounds like its flooded already and even with the choke on all the way it dies out when i try to give it even the slightest throttle. This shouldnt be happening and im wondering why?
Thanks, Josh

To better identify and solve this issue, the make and model of the bike is needed.

ok, i see that the make and model is kawasaki klx 125. a spark plug going bad will cause this as well as a restricted air filter. sometimes the air/fuel mixture can cause it as well. you could try a hotter spark plug.

My Echo SHC-212 floods out and will not start. Even with no choke and throtle wide open it will still flood cylinder. I have good spark.

Check your choke prime bulb and carburetor lines - sounds like its clogged and gas is barely leaking into flood the cylinder

My truck wont run. Why?

If it is flooding it might be a fuel pressure regulator, when it floods hold the pedal to the floor until it revs up, this should clear out the gas and get it started but the problem will remain until the fuel pressure regulator is checked or replace it is located at the beginning of the fuel rail on top of the motor it has a vacuum line going to it. Replace the vacuum hose first also if it appears to be wet with gas replace it. If it checks out ok or problem persists pull out a spark plug and have an assistant turn over the motor as you observe the spark it should be a bright purple or blue color if not it is a weak ignition issue repalce the plug wires and plugs along with the distributor cap and rotor. If problem still persists replace the O2 sensor and ignition module.

When i try to start my saw it floods with the choke off ?

You might try taking your muffler off and see if it is clogged and if it is give it a good cleaning and reinstall and clean your plug off maybe a new one and try it again...assuming that the choke is functing properply.

Choke not working

as i remember yhe choke is not adjustable
this is asimple carb and may just benefit a simple strip and clean. The carb flooding may just be down to the float jet not seating properly due to dirt on the seat
hope this helps
