Battery won't take a charge ! ...trash it and get a new battery in there before it sits too long and your fuel goes bad and you have to clean the carbs too ! Don't feel bad, i've owned 48 motorcycles and at least 60 batteries.......Good Luck to you friend....Tim

2001 mercury sable will run but won't charge and no batttery indicator light in dash will not light

If it runs you have one of 2 issues. 1. The battery is bad and the alternator isn't able to keep it charged (you will have to jump start it every time the motor is shut off). 2. Your alternator is bad and the battery is running the car (when battery is drained car will stop running) which is my belief as the battery light only comes on when the alternator isnt charging. Have the charging system tested at your local AutoZone/Advanced Auto parts store they normally do it for free.

2009 Yamaha V Star 1100 will not start. No power @ all. Charged battery. Still nothing. HELP! It has been sitting through winter....Only has 4k miles on it.

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, have the battery load tested and externally charged.

Offhand, check the main fuse. It would be inside the starter relay housing.

Good luck and thank you for asking.
