My YZ 250 F rear shock absorber fluid and nitro amount

Hı sır, I have a 1998 yz 250 f and ı want to know about its rear shock absorber.How much amount of fluid should be filled in it when it is servised and how much lbs of nitro is pressed. thanks. shock absorber is KAYABA.

There is no quantity that i can give you.....you have to fill that thing completely and make sure you have no air at all in it...maybe you can see this important step on you tube....otherwise the pressure of nitrogen is between 150-175 lbs depending on the way you like you're bike to absorb..make sur you place you're valving shim in right place if you change you seal....

The service manual just says that if it leaks any oil to replace it.

I need to stiffen the rear suspension, any ideas?


if it has an adjustable coil shock on the back u should be able to turn the collar on the botom of the spring to tighten it up, somtime's there is a spetial too needed

How much oil do i put in the rear shok for a yz250


You can change it. Im looking for the correct amount to do it myself. I already pulled mine apart and bought a rebuild kit for it. Comes with a new nitrogen bladder, o rings for the seal, and a few other necessary items. Just remember to measure where the jam nuts holding your spring is so you can put it back in the correct location. As for the nitrogen i heard 150 psi. I'm fortunate to work at an offroad racing shop so i'm just gonna fill mine with nitrogen there, but i dont think you should get charged too much at a regular bike shop. Rockymountainatv.com has the rebuild kit. You will need the seals atleast. If i find anything else out i'll let you know. Hope this helps.
