Question about 2007 Bajaj Pulsar 150

1 Answer

Scooter losing power in moving forward when stopped at stoplight. Also, loses power en route. Reached 350 miles on odometer. Went to change engine/gear oil. Took off ''oil pan'' screw. Only ~<50 mL came out. Added 600 mL of motor oil; oil would not go in add area (place the dipstick sits) quickly. Scooter still losing power as written above. Has engine been damaged by lack of oil? Check for compression level with gauge. Used tapered rubber fitting with gauge in spark plug hole. Gauge got as high as 150 psi; though not sustained (?). This is a Chinese scooter: Kaitong/US Titan/Supermach Velocity MP-150-07K.

Check your jets in your carbs and also could be bad fuel. Poor some sea foam in it and some new fuel and check to see if the inline filter is plugged and check your air filter as well.

Scooter won't move

Things to check: Drive/Free wheeling switch, brake release lever (this activates an internal micro-switch that enable power to the drive system, battery box connectors (condition of contacts - corroded, missing, loose. etc.); main control cable (corrosion. lose or missing pins, etc). If all these are OK, could be controller or drive control potentiometers (speed, forward, backward) on the handle-bar (tiller).
Good luck!

Odometer stopped working

How many miles are on this vehicle? I ask because the odometers in these car stop working around the 140k to 170k mark. Did the button comeback? Is this the mileage on the digital or analog trip meter?
The process to change the odometer gear is fairly straight forward and takes less than $20 and an hour. Let me know.

I will drive for about a mile with full power with little power lose.then all of a sudden, ill have extreme power loss . within 1quarter mile ill lose all power.something drains the batteries

Batteries do not provide a linear output during usage, but having it die out within a mile or so tells me that one of the battery cells is becoming weaker than the rest. If you're a handyman, you can save yourself a ton of money by replacing only the batteries (try interstate batteries) instead of going to the scooter store and purchasing the batteries and case.

Hi, Kemalkillic for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. Mayfair freerider mobility scooter - keeps losing power, especially on slow speed

ok, sounds like the speed pot,

Can you move the throttle lever up and down, try going along at a constant speed (losing power ?) then move the lever up & down ?

does it improve response ? if so replace the speed pot.

My guess is that the speed sensor has gone out or the wires that go to it have been knocked off somehow.

Shoprider deluxe te-889af loses power when reversing

I think that this is usual to have a slower reverse speed for safety. But on your shoprider you should have 4mph and 8mph ,usually if you are at 8mph it won`t reverse at that speed, you have to go to 4mph ,look infront of you there is a dial this controls the speed that you go forward and reverse. If reverse speed needs to be increased turn the dial up,but don`t forget this also increases forwards.
