Question about 2004 Yamaha YZ 450 F
The stator has ohm readings for each coil. You can get the specs from a chiltons manual or from your Yamaha dealer if you have a friend in the service dept. Since you just did a fairly major disassembly, it is more probable that you missed a wire or ground contact that is causing your problem. Stators rarely go bad on their own, as do coils. Best wishes.
