SOURCE: location of washers on front axle 2002 harley

You need to be sure it is a washer and not a shim. The washer(s) will go on the nut side of the axel outside of the fork, shims will go inside the fork to center the tire.

How to loosen the drive belt from the rear wheel?

There is a bolt on each side of the rear wheel on the swingarm. Your bike may have some type of decorative covers over the bolts. If so, take them off to gain access to the bolts. Loosen the axle and the locknuts on each bolt. Turn the bolt back away from the axle and the rear wheel will slide towards the front of the bike loosening the final drive belt tension.

Good Luck

2003 fxsts seized front wheel axle !!! I can't remove the front wheel to change tire :-(

there's no real easy way out if your axle is seized in there. You need to fiind a really big hammer, brace your front end up against some thing, and give the axle a good whack until it comes out. Unscrew the nut so its level with the axle. You just gunna have to keep wacking until it comes out. Try spraying some penitrating oil and letting it soak. It will come out, eventualy. The worst thing that can happen is you will need to buy a new front axle. Remember to grease it when you put it back. Also make sure any axle clamps are loose.
