If you move the throttle linkage on the carb you will see which of the mounting holes rises and which goes the oppisite way. normally the front 1 is the pull and the rear is the push. do the same on the cables by twisting the throttle on and off so you can see which 1 goes which way. hope this helps

Kawasaki EL 250 workshop manual, please@

Hi, Lionel the vast majority of service, parts fiche, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee around $10 to $15 and there is a handful of obscure, rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer or never were available, for these rare occasions I shall look on eBay and find the cheapest one available. Most of the manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. If there is no $ sign after the manual link it is free to download for viewing or printing. To download your manual please click on the blue links below. Good luck and have a wonderful day

Hi can you tell me where the engine idle speed screw is on a kawasaki 750 zephyw please

There should be a knob between the middle carbs. Usually on the bottom some on the top. Follow the throttle cables to the carbs and look around there.

How to fix wiring short circuit Kawasaki eliminator EL250..1997

Hi, Anonymous if you have a dead short which is usually the easiest to find. Using a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder, start probing the wire leaving the fuse holder about an inch away from the test light should illuminate, keep probing towards the ignition switch until the test light no longer illuminates you are now very close to the short. How do i disconnect the throttle cable from the carburetor so that I can take out the carburetor and clean it.

the throttle cable DOES NOT attach to the carb on that engine. It attaches to the control panel underneath the carb. you have linkage rods that connect and they either have clips or you need to pull the carb mounting studs

Hi, Eddie nice novella and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel tank empty.
2. The fuel tank has old dead gas.
3. Fuel tank bottom contaminated with ethanol sludge, dirt, water, rust, etc.
4. Fuel supply valve/petcock turned off.
5. Fouled spark plugs.
6. Engine flooded as a result of overuse of the enrichner.
7. Vacuum hose to the fuel supply valve/petcock disconnected, broken, cracked, or pinched.
8. Fuel valve/petcock or filter clogged.
9. Fuel line to carburetor or throttle body pinched, kinked or blocked.
10. Carburetor float stuck.
11. Fuel injectors clogged.
12. Fuel injectors stuck open.
13. Severely discharged or a damaged battery should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a cursory reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
14. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
15. Loose or corroded wire connection at the coil or plug between ignition sensor and ECM module.
16. Spark plug cables in bad condition and shorting check for spark leakage in the dark, cable connections loose, or connected to the wrong cylinders.
17. Ignition timing incorrect due to a faulty ignition coil, ignition module or MAP, CMP, CKP, O2, TPS, ETP, IAC sensors.
18. Faulty neutral, clutch lever, or kickstand safety switch.
19. Faulty fuel pump or fuse or relay.
20. A stuck bent or burnt valve.
21. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
22. Security system not disarming alarm needs a reset.
23. Check for engine trouble codes.

Kawasaki EL250 carburettor

Turn off the gas and remove the float bowl. Remove the fuel line. Remove the float pin and float with needle valve. Do not bend the tang that the float needle sits on. Spray carb cleaner into the seat where the needle valve came from to clear out any trash in the valve casing. Spray the float bowl and interior of the carb. Remount the needle and float back in place and put the float bowl back on. Install an in-line fuel filter. The diagram below shows a 1994 carb Yours will be the same or close to it.
