Just remove the kick lever then remove the right side cover. This will allow access to the kick start mechanism. Please rate my answer. tombones49_4.png

Im rebuilding the transmission on my 82 rm250 but im not sure what the correct positioning of camshaft to gear shifter is any tips to get this corrected?

Hi, do you mean shifter to selector drum? When you fit the gearshaft into the gearbox so the return spring is located corectly in the crankcases, you will then hook the gearchange lever behind the selector shaft cover in any position as the spring will return the lever in order to select the next gear

I need to know the standard settings for the suzuki fxr 150 air screw

For the idle jet screw in to the stop and unscrew 2 1/4 turns. That will put it somewhere near it.

I replaced the crank shaft and when I put the engine crankcase halves together there is friction around the crank shaft - it will barely turn. I have replaced the crank shaft with a factory crank and have...

I assume you are using the original left and right crankcase halves. If not there is the problem. Case halves must be a matched set or this type of problem often shows up. Note the positioning pins in the diagram below. Are they both there? There is an chance the crank may be out of alignment (dropped at the factory, Yamaha parts dept., shipping center, somewhere...). Get it checked at a dealership. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

Exploded views of the offending parts are here in each segment of the bike. See: Starter clutch, Starter motor, Crankcase, Crank balancer, Magneto.
There are several things turning as a result of the crank. Balancers and idlers all hide in there.
Cheers.

Just bought a 92 dr650,noise coming from crankcase, and vibration at idle and riding. someone told me it could be balance chain out of adjustment. is that hard to fix.

If your bike has a counter balance shaft, it is run by a chain, and yes...it's a major job to get at it. This shaft has a specific timing so it counteracts the throw of the piston to lessen the vibration. If you are to check on this yourself, I recommend a factory manual!!!

Crankcase sensor can't find..

Do you mean crank shaft sensor? If so then it is on the front of the engine on the lower timing cover behind the balancer. Good Luck
