Battery is good but engine won't turn over

I have a fully charged battery. Once I try to turn it over it drains the battery supply. Is the starter switch bad?

Check your conections on your battery/starter and the ground wire...if that dosent help...a battery can read full charge and still be junk you can take it to a gradge and get it load tested..theres a good chance that if your conections are good then the battery is junk

Rv won't start. starter just clicked rapidly after replacement, battery tested good. Dash lights (high beam and Turn indicators ) light when ignition switch is un start position

Poor connection either at the starter, battery, alternator, or loose engine ground strap. Fully charge the battery also.

My 1993 Buick Park Avenue just Clicks once when you turn the key on starter won't engage the battery is fine

Sounds like a bad starter or a bad battery cable connection to me. If you are certain that tyour battery is in good condition and fully charged, your battery cables are clean and tight and are making good connection on BOTH ends, replace the starter.

I have a 92 Buick Lasabre and yesterday I ran out of gas. I got more gas put in and now when I try to turn my car on there is a clicking noise, is this the starter going bad or the battery?

The clicking noise is the starters solenoid making that sound. If the battery & starter connections are clean and tight along with a fully charged battery the solenoid is at fault

Battery draining when rear defrost is turned on what casing this

You do not say what brand and model vehicle you have.

The rear window demisters drain a lot of power and are usually programmed to switch off automatically after about 15 or 20 minutes of use. They should also cut out fully when the vehicle's ignition is turned off and of course when you manually switch them off.

1. When you are driving and running a host of electrical units simultaneously in winter there is maximum power drainage and any shortfall in power from the alternator has to be drawn from the battery. This will be a problem if you have a weak battery that is not holding it's charge well or if the battery is not fully charged once it has been nearly or fully drained. It will also be a problem if the alternator is not producing it's optimum power while the vehicle is running.

Batteries do not respond well to being drained frequently and when they are they should always be fully charged again each time with a battery charger at the earliest opportunity. (Running them down and then expecting the vehicle's alternator to do all the battery recharging is not a sound practice).

2. It is possible the rear demister is not shutting down automatically after a period of operation as it is likely to be programmed to do in your vehicle. This is easily checked. If it is not shutting down, and the battery is needed to supplement the vehicles power supply when driving, then the battery can be run down in time.

3. If the rear demister is left active but not shutting down when your ignition is turned off your battery will quickly drain.
You should check that power to the rear demister is off once the ignition is switched off (and when you switch the demister off manually). This is unlikely to be a problem but in the unlikely event that you find it is still operating then you can pull the fuse dedicated to the rear demister.

I hope this helps.

Starter

Take the battery to an auto parts store and have it tested first. IF the battery has a dead cell then the starter can't draw enough voltage to work. Next thing you'll have to ask is WHY is the battery dead/bad? Is it old? Did I drain it down by leaving something on like a interior light, or worst case senario, do you have a bad altenator thats not charging the electrical system and draining down the battery. So get the battery tested and if its good and charged fully and you're having the same problem then it may just be the starter.

86 cutlass wont start with a fully charged battery it turns over really slow and drains the battery

Have your starter checked. Once it goes bad it drains your battery very quickly when trying to start vehicle.
