3 yellow (or white) wires. Test lead to lead. Should be continuity. Then, test each lead to ground. Should be no continuity.
Should also check for AC voltage when running, lead to lead. Should get 40+VAC when revving up engine.
Do not plug in or unplug wires from stator to regulator while running.

SOURCE: I need oil for yamaha tri-moto 175

If the motor is a two stroke, (and i am sure that it is), you need to stop riding until you fill the tank with TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL . Riding without oil will quickly cause the engine to seize up. If not using an automatic oil pump, then mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil.

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell.

A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks! < < And it doesn't cost anything extra!

SOURCE: Hello- I hope you

Did you drain the gas and oil and put fresh in before starting and running? Because if not you could have killed your engine over time gas and oil go bad from sitting. Also maby a new spark plug idk what else maby do a compression test.

Four wheeler

could be lots of things from the spark plug to the stator or even the cdi. you'll need a service manual and a multimeter to test it all.
