Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: The front shocks on my 06 Buell XB12SS were pushed

Remove the front fender and wheel, this should let you know if one or both are seized up. you may have bent a tube causing it to bind, or perhaps the spring collasped. Once you determine if it is one or both, you can tear down the offending side and repair or replace as needed.

Hope this is of some help.

Buell lightening 2004 transmission pops out of first gear. pixy623@yahoo.com

Hi, sounds like your first gear fork is worn, which needs replacing.
Make sure your clutch is disengaging properly when selecting first, and make sure you click it into gear firmly. if this doesn't work, you need to pull the gearbox apart. not an easy job, needs special tools only bike shops have.
Thanks
Adam

Adjusting front fork rebound damping screw

It sounds like your forks need servicing by a professional. Your instincts were right, they should be about equal length, so something BAD has happened to one of the forks. I would recommend going to a sport bike speed shop that specializes in suspension work to have this fixed since the guys at HD barely know how to change the spark plugs on a Buell in most cases.

A good shop can not only repair the damage, but help you to set the suspension exactly right for you (the Buell manual is just a ballpark setting) by checking the sag in the suspension, and they can even upgrrade your forks and shocks for you.

Arguably the best in the business is Max at traxxion dynamics. They have drop in cartridges that allow the showa forks to come close to the Ohlins used by the pros. Not that the showas are bad, In fact Buell always put decent factory suspension on their bikes, which is why it's repairable, instead of needing to replace it.

How to get the seat of.

There is a keyhole on the left side of the seat near the rear. Simply insert your key and turn while pulling up on the rear of the seat. Once the rear of the seat is lifted continue to pull the seat toward the rear of the bike to free it from the frame.,
