If its the outlets going into the pool, it sounds like you are missing a insert , my pool has hose inserts which stop the leaking. Hope this help. Pool stores have the differnt size inserts

Pool leaks almost all the way around the seam at the bottom. what do i do?

check the warranty period for the pool liner
if in warranty period ask for a replacement
. if not there are special plastic glues available from a pool shop that will do the job or take the liner to a upholstery or plastic awning manufacturer and have it welded again

Water does not ciculate thru skimmer

Check the valves that control the water in the pool equipment area. There are usually valves to divert water between the skimmer, service port and outlet jets. Also, the multi-port valve on the filter has several settings on it to control normal filtering, backwash, bypass, winterize etc. If all the valves are correctly set, you should look in the skimmer and pull the strainer basket out. Clean it if necessary and look at the bottom of the skimmer bucket to ensure that the drain cover is open.

My in-ground pool pump...Sta-rite 11/2 hp...leaks at the outlet fitting. Changed fitting twice, using teflon tape as recommended...still leaks.

I don't recommend Teflon tape as it places outward pressure on the pump and can cause the pump body to crack. and if that happens the pump body will need to be replaced. I use black RTV silicone. smooshing it into the threads of both fittings and hand tightening the fitting.. then the glue the pipe as normal
REMEMBER to prime the pump after any pump repair !!
Teflon tape works well on metal pump like well and irrigation, they are a high pressure pump and are generally cast iron tanks.

I have an RP 2100 pool heater and the minimum temperature set point is 65 degrees. Every time the pool/spa temp falls below 65 degrees, the heater automatically turns on. How can I either disable this...

Do you have an electrical switch that turns this heater on/off?
Can the heater be unplugged?
Is the heater on a separate circuit breaker that can be shut off for the season?

Hi, I have let my intex above ground pool go green over winter and with summer approaching don't know if I need to add extra salt or something else to get the pool ready for swimming. It is a 14 foot,...

You need to get liquid chlorine and add about 2 liters and let your pool filter run for a couple of days and in the mean time clean your filter twice daily. If the pool at this stage is still a little green add more chlorine and broom the bottom to stir it up. After this as once your pool is back to almost normal, clean the the filter again and add clarifya. To keep your pool in good condion over summer buy 2 pool floaters, put 2 chlorine tablets in one and blue block pool sparkle in the other and each week add 1 liter of chlorine. Hope this helps you as i have the same pool and i do this and don't have any problems. You can also add salt to your pool if you like but dissolve it in water before you add it to the pool.

This is our first year with an intex 18x52 metal frame pool. can we leave it up in the winter and how do you close it?

I don't know how well those hold up during the winter months... it all depends on where you live...

Put in a gallon of shock and a 60% algaecide, let it circulate 8-12 hours and then drain it below the inlet and outlet. Put an air pillow in the middle and then a cover on top of that, secure the cover with a cable. Empty and clean the filter system and hoses then bring it indoors. You MUST take off all the excess water and snow.

My Lars pool heater is leaking from within the casing.

Could also be a pin hole in the small copper tube that runs from the top of the heater to the thermostat. This has happened to me a few times. Small hole, but lots of water comes out. Get some 3/8" copper tubing and 2 compression fittings. It is easy to replace this tube. The only pain is that you have to take off the top of the heater to reach the end of the tube.
