I have a 1 1/2 year old whilepool gold refrigerator model GS5VHAXW. In the upper left rear there is a box...I think it is some kind of damper. There is a continous popping or knocking sound and the fridge...

You are correct this box that is in the upper left corner of the fridgerator towards the rear of the machine is actually termed as a diffuser. Its basic job is to open and close letting the cold air into the refrigerator from the freezer. When you fridgerator is to cold the diffuser, also known as the damper assembly in other units, closes and when the frigerator is to warm it opens the small fins on the door letting the cold air back into the refrigerator side of the unit. There is also a control for this diffuser located in the ceiling of your fridgerator as well. Around this time of year do to the tempreture getting hot outside I do notice more diffuser's that I have to change in a week more then diffuser controls. Is this the area that is makeing that poping sound on you? Carefully remove the diffuser not breaking either of the two thermostat lines and inspect to see if you have an ice build on the inner fins of the diffuser if you do it is best to replace the diffuser itself instead of opening it or proping something on the inside of it to keep it open. If you have any further questions message me back. And please also remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future Thanks
p.s the part number for the diffuser is W10128734

Remove diffuser. Remove rear cover from motor. Hold shaft with either a screwdriver if shaft is slotted or 1/2" wrench if there is a flat on it. Unscrew diffuser. If there is a screw in center of impeller unscrew it first.(reverse thread)

Replace the tail light bulbs in 2004 infiniti g 35 coup

tail light bulbs are replaced by removing the tail light housings. The housings are accessed by removing the nuts, the nuts are secured behind the inner trunk liner inside the trunk. Remove fasteners holding liner in place, remove 3 nuts for each housing(i believe it's 3 nuts if my memory serves me right), remove housing and replace bulbs

How to remove jammed cd infiniti g35 coupe

This is a stereo we see in shop for repair on a regular basis, see for repair. However, I have one suggestion before thinking of repair. Disconnect one of the main car battery terminals for several minutes. This is much easier then removing and reinstalling the stereo in this car. This may act as a reset and bring the changer back. Otherwise, repair is needed.
