2003 Honda Civic remove sugar from the gas tank and lines

it has been shown that sugar is not dementrial to the running of an engine
it's basic chemistry is hydrocarbon the same as oil, fuel so it will dilute out in a few tank fills ethanol os refined sugar with most sugar cane farms now converting to ethanol production
if you are still not assured , then remove the line before the filter and run the pump to pump out the tank
fit a new filter and fill the tank
replace the filter at around 1/2 tank

Hi, my firebrid 115 wouldnt start tuedsay after running out of oil, had a deliverary of oil and my oil man bled the boiler as it had a air lock, the heating was working fine the rest of the day and a

He may have bled the lines but did he also bleed the fuel filter as well. All oil tanks have an oil filter in them, sometimes two. He could hav bleed the lines but still had some residual air in the line, the filter, or somewhere else along the supplu side. I"m sure if you call and explain the situation they will come and rebleed the rest of the air out of the system, especially if you're a regular customer. Also have them check the tank fuel filter, if it's clogged that too would keep oil from getting to the burners.

Which pipe is the feed from the oil tank on 2000 evo 1200

The way to tell on Harleys is as follows (with explanations).

If you pull the oil lines one at a time, the following will happen:

On the oil return, and the vent line, oil will not flow out (except maybe a little residual oil).

On the feed line (oil tank TO oil pump), oil will flow out, especially it the oil cap is removed!

NOW, if you\'re asking because you want to install an inline oil filter or oil cooler, the feed line IS NOT the one you want to install this on!!!

The feed line is gravity fed to the oil pump, and there is no pressurization in this line, and the line could cavitate (suck air), especially if the filter/cooler are mounted too high!

The RETURN line is where you want to install these items, as this line is pressurized with the engine running, forcing the oil through them on the way back to the oil tank.

So which is the vent, and which is the return?

Pull the two lines you have already identified as NOT being the feed line (as described above), start the bike and run for ONLY about 5-30 seconds (or however long is needed), and see which line has oil coming out of it under pressure.

THIS is the line to install an oil filter and/or cooler.

Need to know how lines run from oil tank to oil filter

Technically speaking.....NONE!

In reality, an oil line runs from the oil pump return line fitting to the oil filter, and FROM the oil filter TO oil tank return line fitting.

1972 shovelhead oil routing

Bottom of oil tank to right/outside feed on pump. Inside is return line to top of tank where filter cap is. If you ran a cooler than run this line to the cooler and back to the tank. Above the pump is the large vent line. It goes to a tee fitting and than to the top of the tank and to the back/bottom of the primary. The small line goes to the back /center of the primary. It\'s the chain oiler.

Does anyone have a diagram for how the oil lines run on a 1970 ironhead sportster with an oil cooler?

You '70 model has the "long" style oil pump on it. It has a inlet and an outlet. Of course, the hose from the bottom of the oil tank goes to the inlet. From the outlet of the pump, route your oil line to the oil cooler. Then from the oil cooler back the top of the oil tank where the cap goes on. The oil filter is inside the tank under the cap. There is also a vent hose that comes from just in front of the front chain sprocket that goes to the small nipple on the oil tank. This is the way most people run the oil lines.

Is there a fix for bar oil running out of the saw all the time until the tank is empty?

there is bad oil line repalce it.

Is this the correct routing for the fuel line? Starting at the filter in the tank, will the line go to the bottom of the carb.? Then the line goes out at the top of the carb. to the primer\'s suction side? Then out of the primer to the fuel tank? This route the primer pulls gas through the carb. Does it make any difference which hole in the tank the lines go to?

YES that correct

Looking for a diagram for the oil lines on a 1972 Sportster

I can send you a diagram but not through this forum. The file size limit here is 150kb. Contact me directly and I'll send you a drawing of a later model but the oil line connections are the same.

Basically, the input oil line comes off the bottom of the oil tank and goes directly to the backside of the oil pump. The oil is pumped through the engine and then scavenged by the oil pump. It' is pumped out the front side of the pump to the oil filter if it has a spin on filter on it somewhere. If not, the line goes back to the oil tank and connects right at the cap. This oil tank uses the drop in type filter or the filter that has a replaceable element in the cap. The only other oil line is a breather line that comes out of the cam chest just in front of the front chain sprocket, you'll have to take the chain sprocket cover off to see it. It goes up and behind the oil tank to the small hose connector. That's the breater vent for the oil tank. The vent that comes out the front of the cam chest has a pipe on it that comes down and dead ends. It doesn't connect to anything.

good Luck
